Thats not a bad price tbh, as you could spend a good day if not more more stripping HSl, plus you have some tricky areas, then you dont know whats on underneath the paper, so you could spend a lot of time filling and sanding down, also, you still need to fill and prep even though your putting up lining paper.
I think you wont get a better price than that.
Make sure they hang a decent grade of lining paper though,I usually hang 1200 or 1400, depending on the walls.0 -
we're having our Victorian hallway, stairs and landing decorated at the moment too, along with some plastering and rendering work to the staircase down to the back garden and a large sash window frame glossed in our bedroom. They are also putting up a new ceiling rose in the entrance hall.
I bought farrow and Ball estate emulsion for the walls (which cost an eye-watering amount but looks fantastic) and they are supplying all the rest, gloss, undercoat, white emulsion for the ceiling etc.
The quote came in at about £1900. They started on Tuesday and it looks like they will be on the job until the end of next week. I dont think that is too horrific a price. They're good guys and have done external works for us in the past.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0
