how about some homemade heart shaped white chocolates with a red smarty on the top ,not much cooking involved but if you sold them say 5 for £1 you should make some money on them (i was only thinking about the white choc for the toddlers).
or white choc rice crispie cakes with red smarties or cherries on the top .0 -
I've just got a letter from school asking for donations of cakes/buns/biscuits for their stall on friday to raise money for comic relief. It has to be something funny
Has anyone got any ideas? I was thinking of some sort of biscuit that can be cut with a cutter (has anyone got any cheap but good recipes please)? Or any other ideas will be gladly accepted!July Win: Nokia 58000 -
You could cheat a bit and buy some ready-made sponge fairy cakes from Tesco (they sell a tray of 12 of them for about a pound, and they taste perfectly okay), then just top them with white icing.
Then either write something funny on top of this with icing pens (the words "Ha! Ha!" or "Giggle" would do), or simply add a dollop of red icing on each to be a red nose.0 -

Did they give you no ideas - funny in what wayWhen mine were in primary school, we made fairy cakes, white icing and a whole cherry as a Red Nose - very effective

I think they're probably asking for something 'funny' because this year's slogan is "do something funny for money".0

You could make cupcakes with clowns faces on. You could use red liquorice laces or squeezy icing for hair/ mouth, and dolly mixtures/liquorice allsorts for the eyes/nose.0

Spot on CJ- do something funny for money!
I'm lovin' the idea of cupcake clowns! Super quick and easy (I'll get those ready made ones thanks!)
Thanks for the help!July Win: Nokia 58000 -
I have some gingerbread man cookie cutters with bites taken out of them.
These: http://www.worldwidefred.com/abc.htm
You could do something similar and make some round biscuits then cut a bite shaped mark out of the side of them with a fluted cutter.:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -
I really hate it when schools do things like this. Dd has to dress in red -she owns nothing red and the only other red garments in the house are the boys' football shirts which she's refusing to wear. She thinks I should go and buy her something:rolleyes:
Anyway here's my sugestion -invisible cakes:p0 -
ROFLOL!! I've just found a gingerman cutter in the drawer- I might have to do those too LOL!July Win: Nokia 58000
