The unconditional love your kids give you is the greatest feeling there is, IMO.

I second that one Gen. If you never have a child you will never understand.
There is nothing else in life you would give your life for other than a family.

PS If I think you compare a couple who go out every weekend and that of a couple with a child I would say the couple with a child would be fairly equal in terms of money. You can blow one wage on going out every weekend.

I agree. It's a great feeling that!! Also, there's no 'good time' to have kids, people often look for excuses not to start a family. Once they are there though, you learn to cope mentally and financially!

I did a business case analysis of having a kid, and decided I would have more fun if I had the snip so I could enjoy a nice car, more holidays and a disposable income.

What do you see as the driving force behind your life if you're not going to have kids, please?

Is it hedonism for example? I don't want to judge you, just understand your motivation.

It's tempting, at the moment I'm paying rent for a small room in a shared flat, I'm working full time and I'm alone.

I could go out and get knocked up, not have to work and be eligible for my own flat... tempting...
saving up another deposit as we've lost all our equity.
We're 29% of the way there...

Driving force, that's an interesting one, I would say the biggest driving force is choice, I believe being child free gives me a lot more life choices than I would if I had chosen the family route.

    Mortgage-free Glee!
Were about to have a child, due in a few weeks.
Mind you the better half has been involved in "non work" activities for the last two years.

As for childcare, I understand there is an option in the UK to get vouchers for childcare deducted from salary before you are taxed

    Congratulations 1104881105_856672889.gif and good luck

My teenagers are lovely:D and so are their friends. I don't know why they get such a bad press tbh.
