SA's voyage through bankruptcy ......

Thanks you so much for your kind words. Sometimes I wandered what on earth I was doing, especially trying to handle it all on my own, but it has been relatively smooth and I am so grateful for getting another chance.
Despite the rain outside, life is good!

Hi SA, have just read your thread congratulations you are an inspiration. Re decorating, to help cut down on cost of paint do yur local council have a community RePaint donate near you. http://www.communityrepaint.org.uk this takes you to the web site just type your postcode in to see if there is a centre near you. Also freecycle is worth a try. As for your floors you could also paint those. I once papered our kitchen and loo in old comics/newspapers, looked really good and very designer.0

Good Morning everyone.....
Well, firstly apologies for not posting for a while but I have been really busy. I have now been in my new flat for 3 weeks and managed to get TWO rooms decorated. It feels like I am living in a bombsite but it can only get better.....
The condition of the place leaves a lot to be desired and I am not sure what I would have done if I hadn't got my ED in the nick of time and had my annual bonus to throw into my new "money pit". But I am looking on the bright side... onwards and upwards.
My car is back with me, fully repaired ( attempted theft - £1900 to repair!!) no probs with my insurance company at all. Not sure about next years premium though....
My job is changing yet again, not sure I like this brave new world that we are in, and it seems I have to apply for my own job if I want to keep it. Funnily enough, after what I have been through (and survived) over the last year I am not too worried - if the worst happens, I move on.... again!
I have come to realise though that this is what the real world is all about.... problem after problem (or should I say challenge) and it is up to us to deal with it. I used to think it was just me, and that other people had rosy lives. I now know that this is not the case. It is comforting in a strange sort of way and makes me stronger for it.
Anyway my friends and co-posters, time for work, I hope everyone is OK and that your lives aren't being presented with too many "challenges".
Best wishes to you all...

SA
Everything is OK for now thanks. My toms are ripening, I ride my cycle and feed the ducks. I still file my letters from the dastardly creditors while waiting for the time to burn them;)Better to be poor than a slave to wealth
