Good Morning to you all......
I hope you are all enjoying the hot weather. It certainly makes a change.
A brief update for those of you following my twists and turns through BR!
My HA has offered me a 2 bedroomed flat in a nicer, quieter part of my town and I am thrilled.... they are very kindly fitting a new kitchen and boiler for the CH and new windows are planned before the end of the year.
That is the good news, the bad news is that the previous tenant has not decorated for years and years and was also a smoker (getting the picture?) There is a mixture of anaglypta, glossed over, horrid paper and even a navy blue and black bedroom! Everything has a yellow tinge to it. There is nothing on the floors, just bare boards and that is how it will be when I move in......
They are giving me £100 in decorating vouchers. Hmm...
It is obviously going to be a work in progress (understatement) but I am going to have to ring the OR and ask if I can work overtime to get some money for removal expenses and some basics. Now I am double hoping for ED so that I can really get stuck in to making it habitable.
But I am thrilled :T It will be yet another new beginning for me and a fresh start and in a year or two I will look back and feel like it was all worth it, I know.
So that is my news, I am now on the lookout for a man and van to move me and a painter to at least spruce up one room for me. At least it keeps my mind off my horrid past ......
Hugs and best wishes to you all.....

Good to hear from you SA. Don't worry about the state of it just view it a a blank canvas that you can put your individual stamp on.
I am sure the OR will allow you to do some overtime....they could not be that mean surely?.Might be worth asking if there is any chance of ED whilst you have him on the phone;).
I have a man you can have,no van but an estate car,but he is carp at decorating:rolleyes:. He is free to a good(or bad) home:rotfl:
