Hi all, back to work tomorrow - boo. Quite pleased with myself today however.

    1) Couldn't put off doing the weekly shop any longer and went to Tesco. Only spent £38 after MOCs for all four of us, mostly thanks to a £7 refund for an accidental DTD find.Woo-hoo! Also had boys school shoes at £1 a pair so took a gamble on the size and bought T a couple of pairs for when he starts school.
    2) T had a friend round to play trains so a NS Afternoon.
    3) Had a Quidco enquiry pay out from over a year ago. Had completely forgotten about it.
    4) Signed up for Coke Zone.
    5) Have two surveys in my inbox that I will hopefully do tonight.
    6) Scratch x 20p
    7) Lunch boxes ready for tomorrow.

Also finished my library book. It was one I picked up on a whim, and I must say it was one of the funniest things I have ever read. It is called Diplomatic Baggage by Brigid Keenan and it is all about her life travelling around the world as a Diplomat's wife. So if ever you see it in the library, I highly recommend it!

Right, off to catch up with the thread. Have a good evening!

  • Evening, all!

Pipsmum, I am *so* impressed with all you're doing on the DFW front, as well as looking after a new baby! I remember the first few months of being a Mum and I know I barely did anything - it was an achievement to be dressed when (now ex) hubby got home from work! Good on ya :T

    Today's list:

    - post here to keep me on track
    - enter at least 10 comps
    - free scratchcard - damn fish again
    - quidco and CBR clicks
    - free lunch at work
    - storecupboard tea
    - check freebies board
    - bingoporting in a sec zzz

eek - that's a short list - must do better. Feel like I'm doing nothing lately :o

Been to work today ....so far:
    • Took lunch from home
    • My sister bought my kids a McDonalds for tea - as it was my nephews birthday
    • We've had curry with leftover chicken...it was yummy!!
    • Had to buy a new A-Z for work (cheaper than Sat Nav - LOL) - went for a small pocket size one as it was £2 cheaper than bigger one and about £8 cheaper than the biggest!! Would normally have bought the biggest - but only need to use occasionally now, so pocket size'll be fine!
    • Updated banking
    • Packed lunches for kids & DH.
    Not much..but it all helps:j

Dates are very much welcome from anyone in the hampshire group. I was thinking either the end of March or sometime in April, whatever suited people best. Was going to put some ideas out there and see what people thought as to where they would like to meet. So lets get our thinking caps on people!! Now seeing as we are dfw's we are going to have to think of cheap yet good and creative ideas!!

  • Well today has been a fairly good day, so far I have
    • babysat for friend in return she made me dinner and using her internet
    • spoke to mortgage company and moved payment date, which means I dont have to make a months payment out of this months pay which allowed me to make the missing payment from last months.
    • Check internet banking.
    • Had toast for lunch to use up the left over bread.
    • Organised myself for my second job tomorrow.
    • Spent evening on MSE seeing what other ideas I can get.
Tomorrow aim to have another lunch of toast as still some of the loaf left over. Also to do my second job.
    MAY NSD's

  • I realised after my MASSIVE spend weekend (£10 for a bag of pic n mix, £90 on a day wandering round the shops, £45 on an old, rusty radio-flyer and gods know how much on food and drink!) that I may have fallen off the wagon a bit. So I'm doing some DFW stuff

I made my Lunch for the rest of the week.
I paid some money off my credit card AND set up a sanding order so at least double the current minimum is paid off each and every month.
Attempted (and so far, failed) to build a spreadsheet to help me kep track of my finances and keep me motivated when it comes to NOT spending money!

Now all I have left to do is convince my Boyfriend that £400 isn't an entirely reasonable figure to give someone for cleaning his car, and I can go to bed happy. (though I have to admit, it's now one VERY clean car!)
