    Whats happening Sall?

Well DH was brought into company to be IT manager..he doesn't have anyone underneath him and he is the only IT person. At the time there was another IT person who was employed by one of the companies within the group. This person then got promoted to head of IT for group but still only the 2 of them employed by 2 different companies. Now of course they have made DH redundant or sorry his position redundant. Now my understanding is that they make the position redundant and no-one else can be employed to do this work..as effectively you are making the position redundant as its no longer needed. Turns out the other man (head of IT for group) is now going to have to take on the work DH was doing. To be it all seems a bit back hand and the reason they are getting rid of him is he is a big expense not because they don't need him. Just need some advice on whether what I think is correct or not

Oh no poor dear, it certainly will help IF she can maintain that positive outlook, soory I must have missed it last time

It was such a co-incidence! I was able to tell her about our church services and be with her yesterday. Quite humbling really. Especially as I nearly skipped yesterday morning as I had such a busy day.

The trouble is that most of my hassle comes from people phoning from other depts.. maybe I should just cut the phoneline...

It was the day after you were telling me about it. She bought a Bible too, we got talking and the next minute she was in tears telling me about her cancer and where could she go to church.
I thought I posted it at the time.

Sally, was the job that the other bloke got advertised within the Company first of all? That may be an important point as otherwise they can just claim 'restructuring'. Also was the more Senior Job already in existence and available because someone vacated it?
