  • Ohhhhhhhh, my lovely flyladies. *sniff* What would I do without you all? (((((hugs))))) to all of you. Thank you so much for your concern and support. *sniff sniff*
Since her chilblains I've been keeping her in bedsocks, it's definitely helping.

Awww Rosepink if you'd like to have a go at some socks I'd be delighted! :) What a lovely thought.

I think what makes it worse is that she doesn't realise she's cold. And I've never been a 'fussy' mummy iyswim. I've always been more of a 'if you don't want gloves on, you're gonna get cold - your choice' type of mum. So I've got to start being more of a fussy/naggy mummy. I'm not sure how good I'll be at that! :o

It will get better, she wont be asking as many questions next time and it always takes longer when it's a new job/first time, as the weeks go by and she gets to know what you want and how you like it , it'll be fab I promise and she'll leave you alone - well she should do.... did you like her?

She cleans at hubbys work so he has known her for ages and I met her at christmas. I couldn't have someone I didn't like or couldn't tolerate.

I just really needed to get these assignments done and she kept shooing me off and I'd go then she'd come track me down to ask me something.. I said if it is in the cupboard under the sink or the one next to it it is now hers lol.. She drove me halfway to insanity but that wasn't too far from where I am already lol.

  • Hi,

Hope everyone is well & welcome newbies/returners. Thanks for all the messages of support & thanks to rosepink for passing them on. I'm generally quite an anxious person, but sometimes it's worse than others & this is one of those times. I've been feeling like this for the past few weeks, but not specifically worrying about one thing. I take anti-deprerssants but I don't think they have any effect. DH & I talked to the GP about it last week & he said he's going to try & get some help for me this week. I just want to stay in bed all the time when I'm like this. Anyway I've done more laundry & errands & am going to bed shortly so goodnight.

PS. In case I forget to tell you, I won't be online Friday-Monday as I'm going away with my parents

i'm back - baby jumper another inch longer.

i only got in from work at quarter to eight and haven't done any flying but family has, as house is lovely and tidy.

what i have done, after been inspired by you lot, is plant some seeds in propagators to try and grow some veg of our own this year. never done this before but we've got cauli, broccoli, carrots, onions, toms and cucumbers. will be popping over to the gardening threads soon as really haven't got a clue but fingers crossed etc.

off work tomorrow - going to the physio and opticians but going to try and catch up with some of the lists - slowly and carefully of course.

going to catch up on some of the thread

hugs to those that need them

Toots, I'm not so evil today, thank you for asking. My dog will be 14 in June. She still enjoys a little walk but it's getting littler.

Off to catch up, just got home from work and mustn't forget Desperate Housewives at 10.

Just seen that tomorrow's list is the bedroom and I did all that (and more) today Toots :)

    Happy Birthday Ashia :)

  • Well done GTX with all the knitting, I'm well impressed - four and a half inches already! I did 6 rows in my HHK and then did some of the dreaded washing up.
Emily, I'm so sorry to hear about your anxiety problems. I suffer from depression and anxiety is a big part of that so I can really relate to that. Feel free to PM me AT ANY TIME if you want to talk. It's a pleasure to pass on everyone's messages to you, I'm on here all th time so it's just a matter of copying and pasting! Hope th GP can sort out some help for you, take him up on everything! And have a nice time away

Sarah, I will try to do th socks! I'm going to finish my cushion cover first tho. It's nearly there, probably another week to go if I keep up wiht an HHK a day. I will let your DD choose th colour - probably best to have stripy ones as I have a few balls of thick wool but I don't know how many balls a pair of socks will be. If it's stripes it won't be so much of a disaster if a colour runs out!

Grand Designs is fascinating today. A family building a house out of tyres, sounds awful but looks great. The roof insulation is made out of plastic bottles found at the roadside. The dad went to the pub and met a man building a house out of straw bales! Wonderful. I would love to build my own home, I would have a log cabin! Laura Ingalls esq.
