    Morning all

Rach - lemon chicken - I'll do the recipe here (as it's weekend and we're allowed to chat!) so everyone knows how to do it - it's dead simple:

    Soappie's lemon chicken (serves 2)

2 x skinned chicken breast fillets
    2 x garlic cloves
0.5 lemon (I used the half lemon left from pancake day!)
    Olive oil
    Butter (or marg)
Fresh ground black pepper and salt
    1. Slice the chicken breasts horizontally in half lengthways (as though you were going to butterfly them - but cut them all the way through). I do this so they cook more quickly and it's easier to see they are cooked all the way through
    2. Melt the butter gently with the olive oil in a frying pan (quantity wise, I use about the same amount of each and enough so that the bottom of the frying pan is well covered). You want the butter to stay golden rather than start to brown
    3. Chuck in the garlic (I slice mine finely rather than crush it), a couple of good twists of black pepper and salt and then the chicken breast slices on top
    4. Gently saute the chicken breasts, turning frequently, until cooked through (about 10 minutes I guess)
    5. When chicken breasts ready, squeeze the half lemon all over them (still in the pan) and cook for a further minute or so, turning all the time (the pan will really sizzle at this point
    6. Serve immediately.
I did mine last night with salad and chunked potatoes finished in the oven with a drizzle of olive oil on them to brown them. I've also done chicken breasts in a similar way using a combination of orange and lemon juice and adding the grated rinds to the pan.

That sounds lovely Soappie and pretty easy, I'm tempted to try it and I don't particularly like cooking, I know me and OH would enjoy it tho.. the kids (if they're in) can have chips lol

Whilst were doing recipes, anyone got a good one for Chilli in the SC?

Got dressed and took the basket of stuff up with me whilst I was going up, put the WM on and I've opened the curtains and the sheets are going on the line YAY! first time this year. will put the other load on the maiden, so I only need to bung 1 load in the TD and not 3. :money:

    Good morning everyone

Playing catch up today: washing and ironing get top billing.

Happy birthday to Kazm and Rosepinkbirthday_smileyTC.gif

Lady Liberty - guess what, we got married on 29 Feb too, on purpose because when you have an anniversary it makes it extra special - last year we went to a super posh restaurant. This year we didn't do anything but we had a family day to London yesterday Never come across anyone else before! So happy un-anniversary and I hope you get good news soon.

Happy anniversary to you too Restaholic - I've never known anyone who celebrates things on 29 and four come along at once, common as muck :p

K, I've hung a load on the maiden, the sheets are blowing nicely outside on the line, the stuff in the WM will be hung on the rads later probably so no need for TD today at all :money:

DD1's coming round shortly so we can go a visiting, need to wake littley up too cause she's still zedding it  I've made my bed too and filled up this months Calendar.

ETA: speak of the Devil, she's just jumped out of bed. Wish I could do jumping :D

greenbee - I've been thinking about this (I think slowly) and I wonder if it was the sort of joke remark that you would have laughed off if it had been said, but came out wrong because it was in an email. He might be shocked if he realised you had been bothered by it.

That's what's worrying me... in email it's difficult to be sure how people mean things. I was thinking of getting back with something like 'so you're holding the information to ransom... does that mean you're going to slowly cut bits off it and post them to me until I agree...' It doesn't quite work yet, but I want to try to come up with something that doesn't make any assumptions...

    ... so creative suggestions welcome!

Thanks crafty... and keep nagging toots... she's not paying any attention to us at the moment!
