Ooooh, fab thread

We had "You Do Something To Me" too, but the Sinead O'connor cover, followed by "You and Me Song" by The Wannadies - very happy and up beat!
And our first dance was to "One Step Beyond" by Madness
Hope you have a fab day whatever you choose!!0 -

We had truly madly deeply by savage garden and everyone said what a good and different choice to make as all our friends were having a bit cheesey 80's songs i have nothing against those songs as i am the first to sing and dance along to them. It is what ever it means to you and you hubby that counts. We thought about leanne rimes i need you.
I have been to weddings that have had nothing going to stop us now by starship, nothings going to change my love for you by glenn mederios, amazed by lone star those 3 i find are used alot. groovy kind of love, stuck on you bu lionnel richie, wonderful tonight by eric clapton. I personally don't like any of them for a first dance but they must mean something to the couple.:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boys

I think my s-i-l had "I'm a believer" by The Monkees - the one from Shrek maybe because our dear b-i-l can't really dance very well, and they both loved Shrek - or maybe I was drunk and it was 'I'm on my way' by the Procalimers, also from Shrek. Either way, they both had apt lyrics but were fun and instantly recognisable for everyone - some of us know the songs from first time round, and the younger ones knew the tunes from seeing Shrek.
They had a ceildih later which meant no-one had to karaoke! Nothing worse than old drunks hogging the mic at a wedding, lolMember of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

I'm planning to have "All I Ask of You" from Phantom of the Opera. Love the lyrics, it's a bit different (my mum hates it, but she hates anything even remotely operatic!)...
And when OH and I went to see Phantom, he was so captivated by it it was amazing to see. You'd have thought he'd never been to a theatre before
Nobody I'd rather be
