we're going to have love you til the end by the pogues (yes the pogues) it is a beautiful song and for those of you that have seen p.s i love you its in the film, it makes me cry though so i'm not sure how i'm going to deal with that.
  • I love "just the way you look tonight" (think thats the name) but not too sure who sang it. I think phil collins did a cover and westlife (but was a duet and not fussed on that version).

Heard it in the film my best friends wedding when they were dancing on the back of the boat :happyhear

We had "All I want for Christmas" by mariah, but we did get married on Dec 18th!
Thanks to all the lovely people on here I have managed to cut my hours down to 2 days a week, allowing me to spend more time with my gorgeous Children. :j
  • We had the Rev Al Green and the song "lets stay together".

Great lyrics, but the reason we choose this was because it was also in pulp fiction, a great film, which at the time when we met was on in the cinema, we found the film highly amusing and at the time we were laughing in the cinema at scenes which everyone else seemed to find inappropriate for humour.

I, I'm so in love with you
    Whatever you want to do
    Is all right with me
'Cause you make me feel so brand new
And I want to spend my life with you

    Since, since we've been together
    Loving you forever
    Is what I need
Let me be the one you come running to
    I'll never be untrue

    Let's, let's stay together
    Lovin' you whether, whether
Times are good or bad, happy or sad

Whether times are good or bad, happy or sad

Why, why some people break up
Then turn around and make up
    I just can't see
You'd never do that to me (would you, baby)
Staying around you is all I see
(Here's what I want us to do)

    [Repeat to fade:]
    Let's, we oughta stay together
    Loving you whether, whether
Times are good or bad, happy or sad
  • We didn't have a proper first dance as we were both too embarrassed by the idea and thought it would be another thing to worry about - so we decided that we would just dance as and when we were ready to. As it turned out the first time we hit the dancefloor together was to Mmm bop!!

Ours was meant to be 'stuck in the middle with you'.

Lol...would have loved that one...with jokers to the left and clowns to the right!
  • We had Fly Me to the Moon by Frank Sinatra, followed by Amore, Dean Martin. OH missed our dance as he was at the bar with his mates, so I danced it with his 90 year old grandma.

Ha! Typical - that is probably what will happen with us! I have already had to have strong words with him about his idea of nipping to the pub for a swift one on the way the church! Lovely!
