Has anyone carried out a survey to see which capped/fixed tariffs have been bad for the consumer?

I believe(not sure of my facts here) that with BG only their 2012 tariff is a bad bet currently. I know the 2009 & 2010 tariffs are under anything available even after the cuts and believe the 2011 tariff is still showing a slight advantage - and even if it were not, there is no certainty what will happen by 2011.

In any case the penalty for leaving early is small*, and it has been indicated that BG would waive them if you stayed on another tariff with BG.

    * £30 I believe - and that is presumably simply to deter the serial switchers who switch for cashback.

Anyone know how fixed/capped tariffs with other companies fare?

The article was being dated daily at that time and included detailed info about the caps that were still available and ones that were not as good or straightforward capped tariffs.

Yes, but I was specifically talking about gmtv. I suspect there will be probably hundreds of thousands of people who watch gmtv but don't read this site.
