Help Needed - Jag Owe Me Hundreds In Redemption

Hi,

Hope someone can advise me. I have three mobile phone contracts with Orange set up through JAG last autumn. The deal was for me to receive six post dated redemption cheques from JAG for fifty quid to bank each month. Guess what? - No cheques!

I've found out that JAG nearly went into administration and in the eleventh hour were saved by setting up a new company (same people, new name) and so are continuing to trade. The lads in the local branch tell me they owe three quarters of a million in customer redemptions and head office tell me that I will get my cheques, they just can't tell me when.

I have spoken to Orange to say I can't afford the hundred and ten quid I'm currently paying each month (which should have been offset by the fifty quid from JAG) but they tell me there's nothing they can do although the fact that JAG are still trading means they have to honour their debts.

Can anyone advise me what to do next? Help will be much appreciated.

If you are happy they can pay up, then the route to go is LBA and if that is ignored, MCOL.

there wont be anything orange can do because the redemption deal was done through jag, as far as orange are concerned they had an order placed for a certain price plan at a certain monthly cost. do jag not have a head office you can go through? if they do i guarantee they would be more helpful, salespeople will usually fob you off, all the while they're sat with an issue they arent earning commission on a new deal!!

Thanks so much for that helpful advice. I had my letter before action duly ready to send recorded delivery on Tuesday but guess what turned up in the post that morning? My cheque for the full amount of course!

Am I a cynic or was it a coincidence that it turned up one working day after my less than favourable post on here?!

    Thanks again.
