I've used Dollar in Newark and NYC and they seemed fine. We had booked a economy actually and got upgraded to a 300c. :O

Thirfty and dollar have alot of the same cars so if you order say...fullsize. Order the 2 door and save some money...as i said....they don't have 2 door fullsize cars ;) I
I searched for a long time and don't think you will do any better in price IF you want Dollar.

Yeah, had a look at the Dollar and the Thrifty sites, and to be honest, they are identical sites with Thrifty rates coming in about £20 cheaper at the moment.

Think I will go premium rather than fullsize since you only live once, and really I couldn't drive in the US in anything other than a nice big V8 :D

Many thanks for the advice - are the rates likely to get better or worse closer to departure?

Anyways...it's a mooooth car to drive in...and GREAT for traveling. Fingers crossed though we get a Charger this time haha although I won't complain too much if we get a 300 lol.
