I signed up to the charge when ship when it launched but had one week with no sales and then just had 5 orders in one day. Its spooky but I am sure my listings are on another server sometimes!!.
I am happy with charge when ship so far. I have processed one order completely and the money showed in my account within an hour of confirming shipment.
I am selling approx 25 per month out of an inventory of 190. I havn't been buying stock recently as I am due to go on holiday soon and I am running out of space in my Amazon cupboard

A pro seller would get £2.27 after fees for that book so just about possible to make a profit if boook weighs less than 500g.. Also the huge listers often have post contracts so can ship at a lower rate, anad again undercut the small selelrs.
Personally unless a book is very thin or very popular I don't bother listing 1p dreadfuls and just charity shop them. The trick is to be choosy what you list, don't just list everything, pick and choose.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I guess so, it's just the books are in good condition and all, but no one wants them. Am just re-pricing my amazon stock. Friend gave me 4 boxes of books ages ago and I have made over £100 profit, but now am bored of having the boxes sitting in the way all the time, so cutting the prices and hopefully they will sell.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0

I have aquired about 10 large boxes of books in the past 10 days, so far I have only actually listed about 20 books, the rest are being freecycled or charity shopped. I have so many books I can barely move, alas though far too many 'Pattersons' and 'Archers' the blight of the Amazon seller!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Do you do Green metropolis for 'Pattersons' and 'Archers'?
Mine are mostly alternative medicine etc.
Plus I just don't have the room...:(DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -

I don't even bother on greenmet once there is over 10 copies listed. These low end market books are usually stock in trade for charity shops and barely turn over online. Also if I can't sell it for £2.76 on Amazon I can't see seomone on greenmet paying £3.75 for it.
For alternative health check out the sales ranking, that will tell you if they are sellers or not. They do usually go quite well.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I do run this as a mini business, it barely pays for my choclate rations sometimes though:rotfl: However I have limited space for storage so prefer to be choosy what I sell and don't hold on to things just in case.
For your self help books have you considered Ebay, do a 99p start and as a private seller you won't pay listing fees. I sometimes sell more on ebay than I do on Amazon and often move stock across just to make some room especially if I can see from completed listings that a book has recently sold at a good price. Only last night I sold a couple of books that go for 1p on Amazon, for £3 a piece (excluding p and p) so although the profit margin isn't huge by the time i paid my listing/FVFs and paypal fees at least I have freed up some room to get better stock in.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
