I'm told Dekko (Boucher rd & Junction One) has also gone into administration.

I'm not surprised. Everything they sold was very overpriced IMO

I'd heard that on the grapevine too. Know a few people who used to work there (note 'used to'!). Most of the staff that had been there from the beginning left over the past year or so. Didn't treat their staff too well I believe so it was only a matter of time before they went belly-up, especially with Ikea pricing them out of the market.

I'm not entirely sure this is correct. I remember reading that they were owned by a church group of some description, but I don't think it was PCI.

I'm happy to be proved wrong though.

It was the PCI, as I work for a company who had a contract for services in the premises and the billing was to the PCI ;)

    is it even open?
  • They've just announced today that the majority of the Principles stores will close with the exception of concessions in department stores. I used to work for Principles and feel so bad that all of the staff there may lose their jobs.

Has anyone heard which of the stores in NI will be effected?
  • dekko is still open at junction one outlet i was in the store today

We were in Belfast today and Frasers in Cornmarket have a closing down sale on, at least 3 other shops within eye shot were closed or closing and one was closing today. I went down Ann Street for the first time in years and I was stunned at how empty it was.

Both still open, but are in administration. Winding down the stock, hence why everything is 30% off
