    Morning all!

We have visitors arriving this afternoon and staying until Sunday so yesterday I took a half day and went bonkers scouring the whole house for mess, cleaning, changing beds shopping and generally faffing about. OH came home after my hard labours and said it didn't look any different and that it always looks clean and tidy - men just don't get it do they! At least I know its been done!

Anyway, as I didn't post yesterday my list includes yesterday and today....
    • Clean whole house:D
    • Change beds
    • Get hair cut and nails sorted
    • Pay Amex bill
    • Pay CC bill
    • Check banks - overpayment on loan has cleared and is now less than £1000 -should be able to pay at least £200 more off as an extra payment this pay month too!:j
    • Check quidco
    • Got Clubcard vouchers - only £7.50 but it all helps
    • Got cash out for the weekend
    • Put petrol in in Mr Ts for double clubcard points
    • Phone kennels to confirm doggy holiday next Saturday!
    • Try to stick to budget for the weekend
I'm off to do some work now......

    HI Everyone

New sofas wills arrive today. BF and I moved the old sofas into the hall in anticipation. BF is going to do a bit of a hoover but threated to have a clear out! I went mad - can't stand the thought of him chucking out stuff without me being there. I do know that I need to do it - I am a hoarder!

    My DFW tasks for today:
    • check bank accounts
    • update spending diary - not being very disciplined about this
    • clear out a load of stuff for ebay/amazon/freecycle/dump
    • storecupboard tea
    • cheap lunch at work - try not to snack!
    • get some reading material for my course so that I can do some reading this weekend.
    • contemplate buying a wedding magazine
    • use beauty products from stash
    • go for a walk at lunch on this lovely sunny day.
    • squeeze out a few sparkles
    Have a great friday everyone.

    urg x x

    Morning everyone

Thank goodness it's Friday, what a long week...

Today I'll do the meal plan for next week and off the back of it a shopping list. I'd like to do a minimum spend on food this week is I can, so there'll be a few pasta meals in there!

Other than that it'll be the usual banking and phone charging.

    see you all later

  • Hi everyone! I'm absolutely bouncing today! Been on quidco this week. Mobile phone contract expired so went for a new one quidco with Vodaphone. Not only have I got a new phone, saved myself £7.50 per month on my contract I've also earned £180 through quidco as took out 2 contracts (self and husband). Renewed buildings and contents as well, saved £1.10 per month and earned £75 cashback from quidco through Lloyds TSB! Also joined prime scratchcards £10 cashback quidco bonus and won £30, joined Minxy bingo today - £20 cashback quidco bonus and won £115!!!!!!!!! :j

All will be going towards paying my debts off. Quitting while I'm ahead now! Got any other ways of earning without spending? I'm keen to not spend out any more if possible.

    Many thanks, Clairol

    morning everyone.

I am pathetic at organisation, trying to declutter/charity shop/ebay but seem to just be making things worse. How can we of collected so much junk in 5 years??

I know how you feel lilac pixie. We married five years ago and pooled two houses worth of stuff into one... what a nightmare. I've been gradually going through stuff and as we've done room by room decorating I am really strict about what goes back in.

The best tip I ever got, over on the 'simplify your life' thread, was to do ONE cupcoard/drawer at a time. That way you do't get overwhelmed. I know it sounds simple but it really made a difference to me - before, I would start on a pile of stuff, then as I was putting some of the things away I would get drawn into another cupboard/drawer, and then see something else... and before I knew it I was cluttering ebverything up worse than before. Now I know, when I look at my bedroom, that even though there's crap all over the floor, three of the cupboards are perfect nad contain only beautiful/useful things!
