Friday 20/2/09 What small dfw things have you done today???

:DWhen we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free;)

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

Today i will:
  • check online banking -
  • update spreadsheets
  • move some money to savings
  • make a loaf in breadmaker
  • storecupboard lunch

    Oooh, am I second??

Today - check banking, do clicks, do some STP and eat a packed lunch.

DH has already kindly dropped off my cakes (it's a friday) at the deli, so that's another tenner in the bag.

Things I am not going to do so well: avoid spending lots of money on clothes at lunchtime. Still trying to hone the holiday wardrobe... but will have this thread at the back of my mind!

  • Hi everyone :hello:

Friday is here, whoop whoop! Had a busy morning already, trying to get things organised for the weekend. Hope everyone is well and happy.

    My list:
    • Have tidied and hoovered upstairs and downstairs
    • Need to take bins out and give kitchen a clean
    • Write a list of little jobs for OH to do when he gets home
    • Packed an overnight bag - going out with a couple of work friends tonight. We have lots of vouchers for a meal and will have a couple of drinks before we go out so hopefully will be quite MSE. Staying at a friend's and her son will be the taxi - both ways
    • OH going out to social club and is driving as has work tomorrow - therefore shouldn't spend too much
    • Checked online banking and moved some funds around
    • Have finialised budget for month
    • One of my friends birthday on monday and found a great present in my present stash/box - only started this when I joined MSE and it's been a great help already!
    • Just had breakfast at home
    • Need to make a packed lunch
    • Leave house at 10am for work assessment
    • Then office all day
    • Heating off all day
    • Both out tonight so saving on electricity
    • Sparkle and have a good day/night!
    Love to all
