Hello MrsE. No tips unfortunately and I have the same problem, though mine also has a covering of black dog hairs unless cleaned daily!
I'm one of those silly people who gets swayed by the marketing of wondermops and trouble free floor cleansers. What I always forget, is that at the end of the day, they still need me to operate them!:rotfl:
    Less is more
  • I use an E Cloth mop, currently with the standard pad but I see they now do a deep cleaning pad which I plan to buy soon. I always like the look of the steam mops but suspect they are not as good as they are made out to be ( I do have a K`Archer steam cleaner but have only used it a couple of times on the floor as it takes a long time to heat up.....really should make more effort with it like a lot of my stuff)

My kitchen floor isn't massive and it's vinyl so I find down on hands and knees with a wet cloth the most effective!

I have a tiled floor and give it a quick hoover before going down on my hands and knees - it's the only way I can get into all of the nooks and crannys.

    Hi MrsE,

I have black kitchen tiles, and seem to brush the floor ten times a day! I mop it with a vileda like this, but it's annoying as recently the mop fell to bits as it was rotten inside. So at the minute i have a toddler size mop! I use stardrops or bleach.

There is another thread about how people clean their floors, so I'll add this one to it later
    thanks:)

    I don't!! OH does.

When I did, like maman I used hands and knees and a hand cloth. I always felt that a long mop made a mess of the skirtings and never worked out how to clean them while the floor was wet. When it dried I had moved on to other things.

I use a mixture of Stardrops and Zoflora, and use the JML Supermop Pro.

I have cream tiles adn my kitchen/diner is 18ft long. Why I ever get cream tiles I do not know but anyway.

It sometimes needs mopped over twice a day and I use a jml twistamop. I use flash floor cleaner and a drop of bleach.

If it is just a quick wipe I just rinse it in sink and spray floor with kitchen cleaner and wipe it. Saves getting bucket out twice a day .

The head comes off this mop and goes into washing machine once a week. I love it , so much so everytime I see preplacement heads I buy spare ones lol I think I have 4 at minutes.

I'm another one who gets on my hands and knees. :p My kitchen floor is tiny though so a mop is pointless.
