  • I love my mop and bucket. I dont really like wipes as I dont think they really give a good clean. Were as I mop and bucket your floors shine!!!! Plus the cost value, it would cost me a fortune to use every single week

I use a mop and bucket for the kitchen, but I keep it outside. The bathroom I use wipes or a cloth before washing it with the towels on a 60 wash.

No mop and bucket here, not because I don't have room for it, I don't think a mop makes a particularly good job of cleaning the floor. It also wipes along the bottoms of the kitchen units, which will in time become stained.

I have just washed my hair in the sink. I used the rinsing water, with a splash of wash up liquid added, to clean the kitchen floor. I got down on my hands and knees with a floor cloth made from a scrap of cut up sheet. I like to get close up to the job. :)

In wet or winter days i have to mop every time the dogs go in and out.. Feels never ending at times. But see your point about the side of kitchen units. Its not a problem we have here, but can see how it would. I wonder what the women before me did in this kitchen, the units are very old.....

I use a sponge and washing up bowl, with a scrubbing brush if necessary for both my kitchen and bathroom. Both are very small so its quicker to do it this way :)

A mop and bucket is great if you have the space and big enough kitchens to require them!

Mop and bucket here, laminate all throughout downstairs and tiled kitchen, would cost me a fortune to use wipes. Do it every few days, sometimes spot mop when muddy kids have been about. Usually use flash cleaning liquid or star drops and sometimes a drop of bleach. I use fabric mop heads x

Like Ilona I'm a hands and knees floor washer using demoted cloths/rags and a scrubbing brush for anything greasy or stubborn. I wipe dry as I go along with an old towel. I also like to put an old rolled up towel under my knees for comfort and to keep my trousers dry.

I used to use a mop and bucket but I found the mop head quickly became smelly and yucky looking so I would stand it in some bleach afterwards. But this seems to deteriorate the mop quickly so I would have to replace it regularly. For cost and doing a better job its hands and knees for me and gives me a better work out.

Can anyone tell me where I can buy a scrubbing brush? I've been trying to get a new one for ages but none of my local shops seem to have them, not even the old fashioned hardware shop.

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
