Why Lloyds TSB put CIFAS marker on your file?

I know Experian own credit score does not mean anything as credit scoring is different from lender to lender but to get 999/1000 is excellent - as it should be because my Experian file is in good notch! Unfortunately with my Equifax credit file it is average.

HSBC, I currently have a managed loan (a long story - i have started a thread on this couple months ago) and so can not have HSBC credit card or even an o/d.

sorry mate, I did read the HSBC post - in full (sad or too much time lol).....

I'm the same, have excellent Experian and OK Equifax (have lots of disputes going on and about 10 defaults - sutton can confirm he has seen my report!)

However, it's all coming off soon enough!

You do know that BOI will search Equifax, but then so will Lloyds TSB. They put cifas and search on both CRA's. They said application fraud (cat 4) facility refused. Its no problem, i'll write in and get the cifas taken off like I did with Sygma. I guess my length of employment and have several mobile numbers so I change them from application to application. Also use different bank details dependant upon what I want the company to know about me! i.e. when I went for HSBC credit card I used HSBC bank account details which shows 6 months. However, when I went for citi card, I used HBOS as i've got years with them and this would show 20+ years history - so it figures why "hunters" and the like will never be able to contain accurate info about me!

Its not deliberate, more my decision and who are Hunters to tell us to stick to same details? Its up to me what details I apply using. Anyway hope this explains it for you mate

Yeah absolutely! Nothing wrong changing details as long it is truthful. Must be a bloody pain though Lloyds TSB registering CIFAS marker.

Lloyds TSB credit search only Experian only and not Equifax for CC application. Don't know where you got Equifax from? Or do they check EQ for appeals?

    How strange!

I applied for bank account with Lloyds in January and it was accepted!! They used Experian only for credit checks - Did you apply online or in the branch? Maybe they have different credit checks systems.

Air Miles Duo card is issued by Lloyds TSB - it is not an American EXpress CC!
