For example I applied with capital one online last year.

I noticed they used Experian at the time online application and they sent off my CCA agreement forms for me to sign and sent back. They did another additional check, this time with Equifax - both on different dates.

Didn't you applied too many credit products recently? If i can remember -62? Don't you think you should have a break and give your credit file a breather? LOL

LOL this is an old application from back in January. One of the 62 LOL. I appealed but only just heard back so they are using my clean credit report that they refer back to and the version I sent in will match it as well. That is why i do not want them to search me, they should have no need to cos an underwriter has already agreed to the account - they must have otherwise why even say no to me in the first place? Do you see what I mean that is why I made the thread cos i'm confused as well....

    Hi,

Recently applied for a Bank of Ireland Gold Mastercard and received some documents that consist of a proposal (completed application form) and a credit card agreement regulated by the consumer credit act. Both filled in with my details awaiting my signature.

Does that mean i've been accepted, being i've received these forms asking me to sign them and return with I.D? I thought they only issued the agreement once you'd been accepted......

Can someone please clarify/assist especially if they have a BOI Gold mastercard....

I initially got declined and appealed, forgot about it and then these forms came through so i'm wondering if it's all been accepted after my appeal but don't want them to search me again!!!

Have you called them to ask why they have sent off the forms?

No cos i'm reading into it that my appeal was successful, obviously it has been?

They wrote told me to sod off, i argued with them and sent in proof of earnings and back statements then I receive these forms to sign so to me its as though its been accepted. See what I mean?

why send the forms to say no if an u/writer has already looked into my appeal it just doesn't make sense and to me looks as though its a deffo yes....

Their gold cards come with £3k starting limit (minimum) woah!!!!!!

Yes i can see where you are coming from. They have the right to credit search as they see fit. - all in the T&Cs. Have you signed the forms yet? You can always get them to remove the credit search if they did another check - is this because you are worried they might search Equifax?

Nah, i'm hoping they wont credit check as they have a copy that I sent in dated 16 jan 2009. No need really but why would they, it was after the last search they said no to me.

They cannot check me when they see fit as they need my permission - trust me on that one! However, they shouldn't need to cos they got my file dated 16 jan.

I'm not making myself clear here am I? Is it me or is my question that hard to grasp? LOL

    Ok, plain english time:

    1. I applied in December 08
    2. Got declined
    3. I appealed and sent in statements and credit files
    4. Underwriter must have looked at my application as I never got another decline,
    5. Instead, I got forms to sign and return also requesting ID (I sent loads with my appeal so why do they need it again? usually it is a sign they have accepted you cos this time they insist on certified copy of passport and original bank statement, in my appeal I sent copies of these documents)
    6. Why would they credit check/score me again - pointless cos then the u/w will have to do everything again, i.e. manually check everything all over again.
    7. Common sense suggests the u/writer was happy so agreed the application subject to my ID coming in.

Thats the long and short of it with the theory.... any idea's?

LOL Does the letter said you've been successful in your appeal and that you will have a new CC? You don't seem to be sure.

They should not conduct more credit searches if you have won the appeal - all you need to do is sign the agreement forms back and ID (if required) and just wait for the card to come through.

LOL.. if you looked at your first question at start of thread, it is easy to answer but from there it get more confusing with different questions/answers!!

Anyhow, to answer the question, I honestly don't know. Maybe they have lost your documents??
