Just done my trade-in today and got a £75 gift card there and then......

Not bad considering my daughter has had it 2 years and hinge has been glued due to being dropped! Although have to say it was done well as guy in shop says it was in great condition!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Wonder if they will still give me my 10% student discount on the new one as well?

    Every little helps!

You will be able to download games like you can for the Wii as well though.

How do you download games for the Wii then?

I have a DS lite and so do my Daughters. I don't think it's worth the upgrade. Also, am thinking of getting my Mom one for her 60th birthday next month, but going to get her a Lite as the DSi doesn't warrant the extra money.

    TT cards rock.

You download wii games on the wii shopping channel using points, the new DSi will do the same kind of thing.

What is your budget? The Lite & DSi are not massively different.

If you have a Lite then no need to upgrade.

If you don't have a Lite then this is where the budget question crops up. You can get a Lite for under £100 but the DSi will set you back at least £149.

I still have a Gameboy Advance Micro! so I will probablty pick up the Lite, probably the guitar hero silver one!

I think the real incentive just now is the fact that if you have a DS lite you are getting a really good trade-in at the moment. My daughter has had her DS lite for over 2 years and to get a £75 trade-in on something that only cost me £90 at that time is something I couldnt pass up.
It is a lot of money to shell out for a handheld console without a trade-in and as most will agree the DS lite is a good console already.
Reason I am getting one for my daughter is her DS lite was on its last legs having been well used. If it wasnt she would be waiting as well like others.
  • hi my daughter has the old ds if i buy the new one can she play her old games on it or is it just better to get her a ds lite:confused:
    thanks in advance

Oh right, I know about that. I was talking about for free. :rotfl:

The DSi has an SD card slot as well.
