Just to add to my previous posting - this leakage was NOT due to DHL - the bottles were unfortunately inadequately wrapped by AF - there was only a bit of bubble wrap and brown tape around the lid, the bottles had then been put down flat in the box and other food items had been packed in the same box.
Considering the state of the box, it was a miracle that it was still in one piece when DHL delivered it. Mind you, the delivery man did beat a hasty retreat as soon as he dropped it off!0 -
Hi,
I just wanted to let you know that I have had a word with the packer concerned, and reminded him to be more careful with these items when packing. We do take every precaution to ensure that the items are packed as carefully as possible, and we have been taking further efforts recently. We now have a sealer machine, which we are using to for most liquid items, so if they are damaged in transit, we are able to minimise damage. We do appreciate all the feedback you give us, otherwise we would not be able to improve our service.
Thanks

Has anyone else been having problems with the posatge charges today? We have tried at a few different times today to order from the AF website and even though there hasn't been that much in the basket the postage charge has gone up to the next weight and charge. I did phone AF to find out what was happenin etc and they said they would look into but it's still happenin tonight lol.
I really want to order and have already missed out on some of the bargains on there today and don't want to miss out on all of them lol!!!!0 -
I had a go with a few heavy items this morning and it seems to be working fine, have you checked the weight of your items, maybe they were heavier than you thought? Maybe on the other hand they have just fixed it hehe0

I had a lovely pm on here today when I logged on from Racheal at AF saying she had checked weights etc on the site and also spoken to the web people to try an sort out any problems and I'm pleased to say today it seems back to normal.:D:T:T:T
The only thing now is deciding what to order hehehehe!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:
Thank you again Jaytin for trying and Racheal and team at AF for sorting the problem out quickly. :T:T:T:beer:0 -

Having followed this saga for months decided to place my first order on Tues lunch time after getting one of Dan's newsletters with 24 tubs of frutini for £1!!! offer. It all arrived this morning (Thurs) from DHL less than 48 hours since ordering fantastic no subs or missing items. Will definately use again. Upsy xx0

I feel quite giddy, I have had my approved food order, it has all gone very smoothly and little bear has thoroughly enjoyed the whole business, including having a fabulous box to play in.

Just give in
I've had a refund for the things DHL smashed. They couldn't have had the delivery refused as there was noone at home! So they smashed it, too it back to the depot, took out all the rice, drinks etc and then just piled them on top of each other with some air bags on the tops in a new box and redelivered.
No explanation, minus AP paperwork. Very useful I don't think.
But the lovely people at AP have given me a refund and said that they are reccommending that people use XDP. And when I suggested having the weight of our orders visable all the time so we could choose the better courier she said that they are doing a new website in the next few weeks that would indeed do that
I admit it, it is an addiction. In a way it's more fun opening the boxes and packages than it is eating whats in them! Almost worth the cost alone the fun of having some big boxes turn up! Problem now is that I've got so much stuff I can't move in the front room! If only I had a garage or something0
