Hi mine isnt DHL but the alternative courier goods still showing as not despatched could do with a tracking system as just seem to be waiting in all the time for this parcel
Lack of dispatch e-mail with the alternate courier is a big problem, it makes it impossible for people waiting for their goods to know when and if their parcel has even been sent. Twice the alternate courier 'phoned us a couple of hours before he arrived, but the last one didn't bother, so it was a total suprise! :eek:
I am sure AF will do all they can to find your parcel tired mum and I hope you get it all in one piece!0 -
just as an update, i ordered yesterday afternoon and have received a dispatch notification so its look like they are right uptodate at the minute. Just have to hope it arrives safely the last 2 of my orders got "returned to sender" because they were damaged.0

I made an order on Friday night and it arrived yesterday
And oddly enough I DID get a dispatch email on Tuesday (with online tracking) from the alternative courier. It was XDP Express. I'm wondering if it's actually a group of subcontractors of the courier AP deals with so theres no standard dispatch system?
I'm finding all the cool things disappear very very quickly. My orders have been becoming more ordinary and less excitingLiving off the great deals though. I think Christmas will be a little different this year!

Thanks for the info and update. I ordered around tea time last friday and opted for the alternative courier however our parcel still hasnt arrived lol!!! it's not to much of a problem as it's giving us more time to make room for the new items and we were expectin it to take a litle longer due to the bank holiday weekend.
But if it isn't here by monday I think an email or call to af will be taking place lol!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -

I too have started to receive emails from the alternative courier.I do agree about a lot of the good stuff going quickly.I mainly stock up on the drinks now though.The juices and snapple type drinks (the grace bottle ones) are really good value.People who are not in the know, must have thought we've won the pools,lol.Never before have del monte juices been begging for space in our house,lol:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -

My parcel arrived on Fri afternoon and it was as exciting as ever opening it, especially as I had forgotten all the things I had ordered lol!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Everything was packed well and there was no damage and the alternative courier for our area is nice an friendly.:D:T:T
My only complaint is I felt compelled to look on their website again yesterday and I ended up placing another order lol!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I can see another order being placed in the next few days aswell as there was more things we wanted that were showing as out of stock, so if these come back in stock another order will be placed lol!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Has anyone else had problems with their orders of the Surf washing liquid?
My order arrived this morning - very quick turnaround time, so very impressed- however, I ordered 2 bottles of Surf and 1 bottle of fabric conditioner. All 3 had leaked EVERYWHERE. The bottom of the cardboard box was a sodden mess. I had to chuck out the Pringles, 2 boxes of muesli and a pack of lasagne as they were beyond salvage. Everything else was either in bottles or jars or tins so I managed to wash the rest off and rescue it.
So, a message for Dan if he still reads this thread - please tape the tops of the bottles down with lots of brown tape, then put each bottle in a plastic bag (a bin bag would do) or two and then put all washing/laundry bottles in a box on their own, not with other food shopping. That way if there is an accident it can be contained.
By the way, their customer services dealt with my complaint very speedily and offered me a refund, so I am still very pleased overall and will order from them again without any hesitation.0 -
Mmmm, just checking the DHL tracking for my latest order (which should have been delivered on Saturday as it was in Cambridge at 4am, but they never tried)
and saw this:

Wonder whats happened to that? Only breakable things afair were bottles of 7up as it was only a small order. (Oh no there were Grace drinks and jam as well) I'm guessing that my parents refused it (probably because it was dripping everywhere or corners were smashed in) so I'll find out later on.
I think it is very obvious to us all that DHL and the standard delivery is not worth dealing with atall. AP is amazing and has (in all my orders so far) done a really excellent job on packaging allsorts of items, making the most of various sized boxes and using softer items to cushion others, wrapping up glass bottles and jars in bubblewrap etc. But if DHL are smashing stuff up as often as they seem to be it's not worth it.
