Just received my fourth order, it took half as long as my third one, only 5 days instead of 10, a big improvement!
Very well packed and wrapped in two boxes and delivered by the alternate courier.
No dispatch e-mail, which is still a bit annoying, no phone call from the courier this time either so it was a total suprise, luckily we were in!
The jelly babies are not as soft as Bassetts and have sugar on, not icing sugar like the ones we usually get, but they are fruity and not unpleasant, my husband ate a fair few before I managed to get them all into an airtight container. :D
The Farfalle Toscane and Plaza Del Sol Tomato breads are both nice with cheese.
The 'Ete Indien Fraise Blanc' chocs are very nice, I was a bit suprised by the size, they are tiny, I expected bigger chocs but less of them, maybe because in the picture on the site they looked enormous! lol :p
My son is very happy with his Skittles and he also said the strawberry jellies and the Fruitini Blackcurrant drinks are nice.
I agree with the other poster who said the Bakin Boys cakes were not so good now, quality wise, we had a few unwrapped ones, therefore inedible, a few more totally flattened and another few which were basically crumbs.
They are cheap so this is not a complaint, more of an observation really. I know the last ones we had were pretty much all 100% perfect sponge with varying amounts of icing.
Many thanks to all at AF for another great order, keep up the good work! :T
  • We've got 2 orders in the pipeline now, hopefully one will be delivered today. It's coming by the alternative courier so it will be interestin to see if a) they can find us and b) what it's delivered like lol!!!!

is anyone else having problems with the basket? I have tried to order last night, and after sitting for ages and adding £86 quid worth i then went to basket and it only had two things in, one the trolley list at the side of the page everything was listed and the total correct but when trying to check out it returned to two items and then £7.00 odds postage?!!! I did email them last night with the details and also the copy of the basket from the side of the page to explain but sadly yet again my emails to them have went unanswered??

The basket is a bit buggy, especially if you scoot back and forth to pages using the browser back/forward buttons! It seems to somehow 'forget' if you use those and not the category tabs.
I found that my item quantities had gone wrong at least half a dozen times on my last order, it is the only big problem I think the site still has, having to constantly check that your basket is updating properly is pretty frustrating! Not being able to use the browser movement buttons without losing your items is a bit odd.
Although your problem sounds slightly different as the list at the side seems right, I don't think I actually checked mine though, so it may be that is what had happened to me as well, but I just hadn't realised.
  • We had a delivery this afternoon by the alternative courier and have to say there was no problems at all. The courier was nice an friendly and helpfull and carried the two big boxes into the lounge for us.
The boxes were extremly well packaged with lots of bubble wrap and polystyrene chips inside. Most of the items were packaged either in boxes or bubble wrap so no damage what so ever. Everything was present and correct aswell no substitutes or anything.

The order was only placed in the early hours of Weds so such a quick turnaround, thank you Dan and team.

All in all an excellent, quick delivery and such value for money. Thank you so much to Dan and his team for providing such a great service and value for money.

Now then where do we store all the new food and what do we do with the order thats on it's way lol!!!!
