    Just a suggestion
Did you make sure you typed the network key on the bit of paper in capitals (it won't work in lower case)
I work in broadband support and it's amazing how many customers say yes they tried it in caps so I ask them to humour me and try it again......and it works

Hidden or just nothing there? you may need to set a key up or reset the key to somthing you can write down and will need to configure anything else already set up to work again with the new key.

Have you checked both the WEP and WPA sections? If whoever set it up used WPA, you won't see anything in the WEP section, and vice versa.

If it's currently set up to use WPA, keep it like that - it's a better standard of security.

If 802.1x is enabled I think you'll need to disable it, as I don't think the Touch supports it.
  • its disabled.

DCFC79, if there is nothing in the box should I create a password if so will this be the one that the touch needs?

yes the key you enter in the box is what the i touch would need to go on the internet and any other devices which you were to buy in the future
