Half hour showers!!!

If they are older kids though they wont take to being told very well, and are likely to go against the decision, again the same applies to the switch idea, they will cause trouble in some other area, like sneakily leaving something on in their room hidden behind something else to get your back up

Mutual agreements and communication are the key, well they would be for me anyway

No you won't, it's called a Miniature Circuit Breaker ! :rotfl:0 -
We're just having a shower fitted, already planning for this issue.
We've got a fused switch outside the bathroom in the hallway.... cuts the electricity to the shower and nothing else
mine is outside bathroom , works a treat for getting kids out :rotfl:TOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0 -

HMMM me thinks its just another fad. It will reduce the flow that much that you end up showering in pressure the same as an electric shower! If you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->0 -
It's taken me years to get my kids to 'have a shower' so now I can't complain when they do!0

my mum and dad did the egg timer thing when i was at home. i loved standing in the shower for a good half hour at a time and my brother used to put the shower on to warm up and then go and get something from his room and forget he'd put the shower on.
we got 5 mins each in the shower which was more than enough for a girl to shampoo, condition her hair, wash and faff about shaving when needed.
love it now that ive moved out and can induldge in a HOT HOT HOT shower without being moaned at about staying in to long.

using up the electricity is your business but letting the water run for 5 minutes before getting in is just wasteful
