I just use diluted vinegar in the kitchen sprayer, roughly 50:50, but I add a few drops of essential oil (tea-tree) to the one I use for the bathroom and around the house.

Try removing as much, if not all the water from the loo, sprinkle with bicarb and then pour on vinegar. If you make it into a paste it should stay on the toilet, leave for an hour or two then rub in and rinse away.

The problem with bleach is that it can damage the porceline (sp) in the toilet, so they recomend that you dont use it very often, as its the bleach that cause those small hairline cracks to appear!!!

Well ya learn something new every day! Thanks for that piece of information Catowen, it's very useful to know.

Does anybody think it'd be rude to "unbrown" a friend's loo while I'm staying in her house? I want to just do it, but do you think I should ask first? I can't imagine she'd be annoyed. It's a loo in a spare room so maybe she won't even notice...what do you think?
