El - i agree with what you say... society is going to the dogs!! even when out running i often get hassled by what looks like fairly innocuous groups of "posh kids"... they just seem to think they can laugh out loud and disrespect people.... it's a nice enough place and these are the "good kids" that are probably a credit to the school and their parents, but still they are lacking in basic respect... we don't have many of the really bad to the bone gangs or anything where i am thankfully...
a friend of mine got mugged in aberdeen at the weekend, couple of youths on a gay bashing mood... but that's a whole other issue....I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Can any one point me in the right direction for the Debt Management Plan board/thread, it is referred to quite often but i just can't find it. ( I have been looking for nearly 2 hours now!!

hi faye if you go to the top of the debt free wannabe board you will see two sub boards one is bankrupcy the other the debt manament board (think it is called iva or something )

but in referance to jade goody ...i feel that we a re living in a type of society that seems to enjoy tabloid stuff if it isnt her its kerry whats her name or jordan or that footballer guy and his wife (ok atleast he can play football give h im that much)or someone else ...what realisticly have these people done?

My housemate got beaten up on a merseyside derby day by some evertonians, knocked him out and stole his phone. I love football but I refuse to go out to watch the derby now because I know common decency goes out the window when football is involved.Not an expert, but I try and contribute and I'll always listen. but hasn't that always been the case... whether it be Elvis/Beatles/Queen (the band not HRH)/Twiggy/Jordan or whatever...!
There are so many more forms of media out there now that saturation is inevitable and repitition is rife!

one of the things that annoys me though (and believe me there are many many of them lol) is that we dont seem to be doing anything acitively about it as a whole ..we all sit and say it's wrong and we say why we think it is wrong and what we would do about it if we were in the position to do so ...and yet ....that is where it ends ....now for instance jade goody et al ...and i certainly dont mean any disrespect to her just an example ...they only do what it is they do becuase they get paid ...now publicists like max clifford only does what he does for money ..papers/mags only put kerry whatsherface's latest diet faddy thing in cause it makes them money it sells ...and the public buys ....and i know not everyone does black ruby herself has said she doesnt ...that's great trully it is ...but while there is still a market for it all it will continue ....and kids will have people like kerry or jordan to look up to ..so in effect we have a well paid page three stripper(jordan) a drug abuser(kerry) and a racist(jade) to look up to ...and yet complaints are made when kids take drugs ..we say (the perverbial we here) society has gone to the dogs ...and it is true....but dont we have to share some of the blame if we continue to act in the way we are ...please know i know that it isnt people on here i mean when i say we i mean society as a whole ...i would never ever accuse a dfw of wasting money on celeb magazines ...we cant afford to lol0

However, I have to give Victoria and David Beckham their due, they are still together. So often now it's this celeb couple have got married, not long later this celeb couple have divorced. When we first moved here we had a car accident, our car was a write off and the other guy was a mess panicking totally freaked out.
it was the early evening and there was a group of boys near by, did they offer to help? did they look concerned?
No they laughed a horrible nasty in your face look at what a mess you 're inlaugh, told the other driver he had killed us and generally seemed to enjoy our fear and suffering. (at this point Mum was trapped in the car and the other gys wife was screaming) but you know its funny clearly.
and that pretty much sums up this hole I now call home, nasty spoilt "rich" kids who believe the world owes them and you cannot touch them. I hate them. fireworks night, halloween, Christmas, the snow, any excuse they go round frighting people and then claim they are having fun, they scare my Mum and my neighbour and all we have are those bloody temp policeman who do !!!!!! all.
I have lived here for 6 years now and just don't see any community here at all.
it makes me furious!!Nevertheless she persisted.0
