The ones in my UPO don't use the JSP's for pay and allowances. The have an in office discussion and decide that way whether you are entitled or not. I kid you not. This has happened to me twice in the last 2 months and both times when I've told them to check the publications, blow me, I'm only entitled to it!! Sadly its better to print out the relevant pages and take them with you, it saves them having to look on the intranet.
