woohoo! My pup's 6month supply of Advocate arrived this morning. Didn't need to upload a prescription either. Came from Barbados but has all the paperwork batch stickers etc. I'm well impressed!0

Thanks for the code. I have just placed an order for some Frontline and Malaseb shampoo. I hope they send them soon...
Just thought that I would give an update.
The shampoo and Frontline I ordered finally arrived today (I placed the order on the 21st of Feb). I didn't have to send a prescrition form which was good and the prices are very reasonable. However, I got stung with a £13 customs charge by Parcel Force. The thing is, I wouldn't normally make a big fuss out of this if I was aware that I was buying from an overseas supplier. But the website leads you to believe that the company is in the UK, or at least there is no mention that products may be coming from overseas.
Anyway, I sent them an email to complain and they were very quick to respond. They've asked me to send a copy of the invoice which they will refund. I shall await the refund and post back.
Overall, it is a cost effective way of ordering things you would normally order (such as Frontline) as you then don't have to pay additional vet consultation charges (which mine does). But be prepared to wait for weeks and be warned that you 'may' get stung with customs charges.
They have responded to my emails pretty quickly though, so that's definitely a plus.0 -

Hi alisona
I think you waited weeks because you were unlucky enough to get picked up by customs. I ordered approximately 11 days ago and got my 6 months supply of advocate yesterday - I didn't need a perscription either.0 -

You should be aware that buying medicines that are prescription only (POM-V) without providing a prescription is illegal - and if you were hit by customs charges they obviously came from outside of the UK. This means you are not getting UK stock and there is a good chance the products are counterfeit as there have been a variety of issues recently with meds.
Please, either buy from your vet or use a UK website - if you need a prescription its for good reason!!0 -
Should have added that both Malaseb and Advocate are POM-V products (obviously regular Frontline is not) therefore as in my previous post it is illegal to obtain these without prescription.0

petmeds.co.uk is a uk site & is cheaper all round than petcaremart for Frontline (perscription not required) & for Advocate which we use to treat our dogs in the summer months as this treats lungworm (my vet advised frontline is fine for the dog in winter) vet charges £7.50 for the percription and its worth asking for it to be reapeated as many times as your vet will do, that way you don't need to pay this fee out every order
For 10% off order enter petsurvey into the coupon box :T0 -
I did this offer for the drontal and got some free as well. Going to do it again next week...

I purchased 3 and got 3 free so don't know how that works as it says only one free but like I say, I got another 3 so that is actually 6 months for my dogs.0 -
The thing is petcaremart is registered in UK according to whois. So before ordering you aren't aware that it is coming from overseas. I checked on whois because they are the only one who doesn't ask for a script and that made me suspicious. They do have prescription medication for sale on the site, and say you will have to provide a script, but all the flea treatments aren't listed in this section confused now.
Also re the RSPCA and flea treatments - mine offer Frontline which isn't a prescription drug anyway and which some fleas are becoming resitant too (although people round here look at me gone out, when I say this!)0
