No there is no need to upload a prescription on this site. Then again when I rang a different vet to mine, they were happy for me to pick it up without seeing the dog!!0

My CKCS needs advocate and I bought it at petcaremart.co.uk
I got 6 months worth for a medium dog and if you enter the code PCM20off at checkout it came to £26.86 inc delivery. This equals £4.47 a time.
Hope this helps
Vicki
Thanks for that.
I've had a look at theirT&C and it says that they won't send the order until you post or fax a prescription......did you do that?0 -
Well i've ordered 6months worth of the stuff, so will let you know if it arrives without a prescription! Thanks for the advise, all!0

Do people flea and worm monthly? I thought 3 months was the norm, and I just do mine twice a year, spring and autumn.0

I do.....but only because I use advocate and then drontal once a year
for tapeworm.
Before advocate, I used drontal every three months (mainly because my dogs do scavenge some really gross stuff:eek: dead foxes and the like) and frontline spray monthly from April to October ( to prevent ticks) and every other month the rest of the year but I did have a cat with a very severe flea allergy and dogs that got ticks now and again in the summer.0 -

Thanks for the code. I have just placed an order for some Frontline and Malaseb shampoo. I hope they send them soon...0 -
We worm our 5 greyhounds every 3 months, panacur 10% liquid for 4 of them who get sick on drontal (1 bottle does for 4 for £12.77) and a drontal for the one that gets sick on panacur. We order them from vetuk and go for the free postage option.
For flea treatment for the last 4 years we've used 1 level tspn of brewers yeast and garlic flakes on one of their meals. £9.89 for a 1.5kg tub of brewers yeast and £10.99 for 3kg of garlic flakes, both from hyperdrug.com. The brewers yeast can be brushed into their coat if they have fleas, it won't make them sick if they lick it off and it doesn't mark any upholstery. We haven't seen a single flea or tick since we started oing this, and with 5 large dogs its saved us a few pennies.0 -
I worm the Dog every three months with Drontal & flea treat her once a month with the normal Frontline, the Cat is wormed with either Drontal or Miblemax (Whichever the Vet decides to use) every 6 months & right now is on Stronghold for fleas monthly but I want her back on Frontline Combo monthly!0

I don't use Frontline during the winter months but I do when we see the first signs of spring. During the warmer months I apply the spot on every 6/7 weeks because they are indoor cats but for cats who go outside then i'd do them once every 4 weeks. I worm my cats once every three months.0
