I am now officially in agony after being on my hands and knees in front of the freezer (its one of those 'hidden in a cupboard' ones) and I have one sopping wet knee!!

Oh well - it saves my other predicament...whether I could go to asda without my wedding ring on without being inundated by single men trying to win me over :rotfl:
MFD the ring doesn't put them off in my experience some of them don't give a damn  we've just talked about it in the breastfeeding thread in DT

You let your hubby trim there?! I'd be worried mine might slip and cut the important bit off!

My OH did mine when preg last time :D

Right a question (not actually being serious tho!)
how bad of a mum would I be if I put Chris in his cot and ran off for an hour?:o

He is being a little pain today I feel like all I've done is scream at him, which I hate:(

Gonna go pop him in the cot with the dvd on but not run off just go in the shower coz if he's still winging and whining I can't really hear him while the water's going:o someone remind me why I'm having another coz I really don't feel like it today

God you girls can talk - managed to catch up a bit last night but no time to post.

Went to see MW - OMG AMAZING appointment. My usual MW was on a course so I had the head midwife of the whole hospital - she spent an 1hr and 45mins with me and OH discussing everything in detail. OH trying to bribe her to be our MW. She's even dropping me some literature off at home as she wasn't happy with the contents of the Bounty pack!!

I came out as low risk but because my mum had Type 1 Diabetes she wanted me to go under the consultant - I pulled a face and said 'Do I have to?' to which she replied 'Oh OK you can stay under midwifes only!'

Need to have GTT in July - couldn't get blood from me at all yesterday so I need to go to the hospital now.

OH was great - asked loads of questions, dropped me in it about not eating breakfast and not being very healthy! So I've been out today and bought loads of healthy snacks to carry around with me.

The birthing pool is rarely used so I can use it if I want and she even suggested a home birth if there are no complication in my pg which I hadn't even thought would be possible with it being my first!

Am so excited now - right going to read back thru while I have a quick lunch then back to work
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

Aw Sami, I always stood by the thoery that dumping them in the cot was a better idea than battering them :rotfl: And that it's better not to bath them if you can't be certain you won't drown em. And that counting to 10 is a silly idea as it just builds up pressure!

Done some housework, now to collect up all the paperwork off the, 1,2,3,4,5,6 piles and sort it all out

My BP is slowly dropping! :j 130/75 which is like, healthy! It wasn't even that before I was pregnant! I am obsessed, but when it's nice and low it makes me feel all happy and positive.

    Yeah I'm fine thanks...and you?

Ah right , I did wonder what the differences were between them. I hadn't realy thought about using a tens, until she handed that one over to me!

    Mel x

i am doing okay (apart from the killing back ache i have at the moment)

i didn't realise until i was told about the differences either. it's just that the 'normal' tens machines isn't as strong so doesn't give you as much relief as you will need.

    Hi weezl.

How are you feeling - are you still set for a HB? Do you have everything ready?

    Mel x

    Hi Mel,:j

Yep, I'm doin ok, how you doing?:D

HB still a goer as far as I know... MW has officially booked me in for one now I'm post 37 weeks. So unless the blood pressure sky rockets, or I go beyond 40 +13, or get some meconium in my waters or..... blah, blah, blah then we're all set!

Kit wise, we've got the sieve, the hand mirror, torch, pool, waterproof sheet flapjacks for the midwives and DH and energy drinks for me. Oh and heaps of grotty old towels. DH has also bulit a table for the MWs to use as a kit table/resuss. table!:o:T

    Anyone think of anything else?!

  • Sami - we were told to do exactly that at our parentcraft classes - if you can't cope, put the baby somewhere safe (like its cot) and walk away for ten minutes. Think it might have been aimed at new babies but I am sure it works for 2 year olds too!

tia - good news on your BP
glamazon - sounds like you had a good appointment!

  • LOL - the dishwasher is just making its 'finishing my cycle' noises (and beeping  )...I have already emptied it (about 10 minutes ago), put everything away and half filled it again having made a big fruit salad for after dinner - I'm too efficient for my own good!!
