Just incase anyone is thinking of purchasing an iCandy pushchair, the company are putting their prices up considerably in March due to poor £ against $. If you can find them in stock now, or possibly order before March you may be able to get them at the old price. iCandy Cherry (plus carrycot) for £360 including car seat adaptors and new price will be around £450 for the same items  (The car adaptors will no longer be included in the pushchair price). I assume same kind of prices increases will apply to apples and pears although I didn't enquire about those. I also checked with several shops incase it was a scam to push a sale, all have quoted the same kind of figures.

While we know and trust our resident breastfeeding counsellor, there is a blanket ban on that sort of advice on here, just incase someone does pretend to have some qualifications/knowledge/experience that they don't.

The NCT Breastfeeding Helpline is open till 10pm: 0300 330 0771

There is also the National Breastfeeding Helpline: 0844 20 909 20

    great advice fg :)

Whoops, don't know about you caz but I always preferred advice from people in the same boat rather than a 24yr old MW who had never actually had kids. Never mind, hands slapped! :D
but there may be somone posting here who isn't pregnant or possible even female who gives wrong advice for sick kicks!!

i know you get some kind of voucher for a nappy wrapper in your bounty bag when you are in hospital, but which one is it and how much does it end up costing?

i am just wondering because the tesco baby event has one in their sale and i am wondering whether to get that one.

i know some people like them, some dont, but i am thinking of during the night changes and having the bin in the bedroom which i can them put in the bin outside every day, save me doing it in the middle of the night.
  • When I got mine it was the Angelcare one and it was free. As far as I know now it is still the same bin but its £20 off it (so its £4.99)
  • I missed a breastfeeding debate? How disapointing... Was off plumbing in the new washing machine... It's just on a test wash now, yay!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Dunno, as I was considering just opening a window in the night and lobbing it into the neighbours garden, they're horrible!!!:rotfl:

right i thought i may as well get this out the way before i either forget or have screaming children to deal with:D

Went to see MW reflexologist yesterday and she was also going to do my check up and sweep at the same time. we talked for ages and she was telling me about her grandaughter being in labour and how excited she was. she done the sweep etc etc and said that i should make app for the following monday(much to my disgust lol) during this time me and OH had been sending each other dirty msg's and they were getting quite graphic lol! i drove home which only takes around 15 mins and thought it was strange that i had no cramps/pains etc.

got home around 2.50 and charlie was sleeping, abi was at her friends and other 2 at school. so we decided to make the most of the peace and jump into bed:rotfl: i started getting a few twinges but never though anything of it and then they started to get quite regular but not sore and nothing serious. we laughed about how funny it would be if i was in labour and never thought any more of it. by this time it was around emmm 4pm and kids were getting home from afterschool club. OH jumped in the bath and i was sorting things out. pains were still coming but by now they were painful but again not lasting or regualr. so as you do whenyou think your in labour i started to hoover and tidy up:eek: by 5.15 i realised this was the start of it and i better do something. shouted to OH i was definatly in labour and he fell coming down stairs and looks like he has broken his foot. so while he phoned his parents to come and get kids i packed their clothes and phoned hosp.

i posted on here that all systems were go and then started to get very agitated and tell OH i wanted to go to hosp. the midwife arrived and it turned out to be the one who hadnt been to nice to me a few weeks ago, as soon as OH saw the look on my face he knew i wasnt happy and asked me if i def wanted to go in. MW said she would examine me and then we would take it from there, stating 'oh we will have a wait yet'. as she examined me my waters went and i got the almighty OMG what am i doing feeling. she phoned for 2nd MW as she thought i may go quick and i sat here with OH rubbing my back and holding on to the gas and air as if my life depended on it. within a short time i had a almighty push feeling that i couldnt stop and i still had knickers on! so they made me stand up and i screamed at OH to get my knickers off:rotfl: :rotfl: the MW was killing herself laughing saying bet she has never said that to you before! so standing there grabing on to poor OH shoulder the gas and air was getting used to its advantage and i was told to stop. i nearly screamed at the woman and she told me 'not to start and no way was i ready to push' OH looked at her and said i think you better check and just at that baby started to come. i was standing there shaking head to toe and everyone was telling me to sit down but i honestly couldnt move?? they handed this blue bundle to me and i stuck her under my nighty to keep her warm still shaking and in shock that was it over. everyone was looking at each other in complete shock at how quick it had been.

i had thought that there would have been a lot of mess but TBH there wasnt i think i had one bit of blood splatter on the floor and nothing else. also baby was born at 6.57 and the MW was away for 8pm!
What's for you won't go past you
