You might find this discussion by 2nd and 3rd timers interesting then. It was the first one which came up on a google search.

    http://www.mothering.com/discussions/archive/index.php/t-725992.html

At 10 weeks the average baby is about 3.5cm from crown to rump, and as this website shows is kicking and moving a lot.

    http://www.lone-parenting.org/pregnancy/pregnancy-week-10.html

In fact my bubs may be bigger than this, as when it was measured at 6 weeks it was at the very highest range on the normal scale (0.9mm when the average is 0.5mm)

hth. What number baby are you on, and when did you first feel movement for them all then?

This is my 3rd baby and felt kicks from about 20 weeks each time.

I don't mean just felt movement, I mean felt kicks against my stomach.

EDIT : Just opened the 2nd link and it says :

The foetus that you are carrying will be active this week as they will be kicking their legs and moving around, although it is highly unlikely that you will be able feel the foetus some mothers have described floating sensations that could be linked with these particular movements.

Off to watch QI then sleep, nonight ladies xx

Very nice! I was planning Cadbury's trifle for breakfast but OH decided he fancied one so ate the last one.. :(

    Night night xx
  • Mr Kipling is a very naughty man putting his cake slices in little packs of 2!.

Oh, ice cream.. now there's an idea! :D

What's left for you to buy, feelie? You seem to have had a few sprees lately, I've lost track :)

Slippers, a pram and a carseat are the only things left on my list!

Suppose I should go to bed, but OH isn't feel very good tonight, and every two minutes there is a big sign or a whinge and its winding me up!

I don't fancy trying any of them :( Think I'll stick with good ol' salt and vinegar ;)

Are you still looking for something bright, like those Norweign(?) ones you showed us a while ago?

ETA: Prams, obviously.. not replacement non-whinging OHs ;)

I couldn't find any nice bright ones that I could get in the UK that I liked. There are a lot of bright ones, but not with the nice wheels. I'll probably just go for a Silvercross one. Only problem is, I need the car, and I need the OH and he is always at work!

OK - your experiences are different to mine then, as even with my first I was feeling pronounced movements long before 20 weeks. I think we'll have to agree to disagree on the subject! By kick, though I didn't mean a movement which I could definitely say was a foot, just a definite contact between some part of the baby and the wall of the uterus which was felt by me (not a floating or popping sensation).

Highly unlikely doesn't mean impossible, otherwise that's what they would have said though. It just means that the majority of mums don't feel it this early.

As I've said, I've been here before and know what I'm experiencing. Tbh it's also very reassuring to get to this stage in the pregnancy and to have some confirmation that baby is still OK in there. I don't mean to be rude but I'm not sure why you are so keen to rain on that parade quite so vigorously, based only on your own experiences of pregnancy

Oh, you have a wheels things too - so do I! I want four equal size wheels and they're actually not all that easy to find :( I like the SX Freeway Linear, but haven't found a shop with it in stock to have a look at it yet.

My friend got something which looks similar to the Freeway Classic but came in bright colours.. hang on, will check my Facebook msgs and find out which make it was..

    ETA: Found it! Leebruss.. http://www.mothercare.com/gp/search?ie=UTF8&mcb=core&rh=n%3A76425031%2Cp_4%3ALeebruss

Sorry if you feel I've come across that way, but that wasn't my intention and I didn't base it on my own experiences of pregnancy at all

I just said I didn't believe it was possible to feel a baby kick at 10 weeks, meaning a definite kick, which at first you said it was....the post above says otherwise now, so I think it's best also if we agree to disagree.

Hope I haven't upset you in any way x
