Ooo - shelvis - what were you doing wrong in your sig you naughty girl??
:rotfl:
I was trying to find the words about breast v bottle too - breastfeeding nazis sums it up perfectly. I intend to give it a good go but I get quite wound up when people react like everybody 'should' breastfeed.
What I particularly like is that 2 of the mummies that I respect on here are very open about the fact that they don't and won't :Tplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Quick question ladies,
Is it possible to have a 3d/4d scan and NOT find out the babys sex? Or is it inevitable I will see an ickle winkle or lack of one?!
Sorry if thats a stupid question

At my scan she only focused on his face, and didn't see anything else. 4 other scans said it was a boy, so I only wanted to see what he looked like! Perhaps give your local place a call to make sure they'll be careful, but there were no accidental wanderings at my scan, and we weren't particularly avoiding it.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
Erm dunno!! I had a link to my pregnancy blog could that be it?? Are links not allowed. Feel like I have had my bum smacked.!
I couldn't BF with my DS as I was on so many tablets due to the infections I got inside my womb that it wasn't advised. Bottle feeding worked fine for me and my OH got to feed DS with the first feed and it meant so much to him that we will do that again. I won't feel guilty and thankfully all the midwifes I met were fine and just respected my choice. My personal nazis were in the family!0 -
Molly - by the time you go for a 4d scan then the head and the winkie are far apart so you don't have to see.
But be warned - I know of someone who went and apparently the baby looked so much like a boy that they knew anyway....she was devastated apparently :rolleyes:please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Speaking of these scans has anyone been to the babyshows?? I went to the Manchester one in Nnovember with my pregnant sis and there was a stand there where you coudl have them done and prices started at £50!! I obvioulsy wasn't pregnant then but I am considering going to the birmingham one in May - does anyone know if its bigger/better than manchester as we were a little disappointed.
MOST disappointed with OH though. Walking past the freebie stands I was in front of him and they were handing me the bags and I happened to hear him say to the Fairy lady - 'no thanks my wife has one'. WHAT??? He was in so much trouble he had been turning down all the freebie things as we walked along because I had already got them. Really a novice at the show thing....
If it were left to me I would take a series of disguises and keep walking past in various mustachesWe used to go to clothes how every year and we used to always take the stuff back to the car at lunchtime then come back round and get it all again!

Sorry - just to make myself clear - I think that the story about being able to tell what sex the baby is by looking at it's face at 30 weeks is complete b0ll0x
Most people can't tell the sex of a baby when it is born unless it is naked or dressed in blue or pink!!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120
