  • They are paperbacks with the front cover missing only which only has the title on.

I would almost certainly not use amazon in that case - ebay would be better where you can show a picture clearly showing the condition - BUT to be perfectly honest unless they are rare / hard to get books they are unlikely to sell being incomplete.

A charity shop for instance wouldn't try and sell them , they would go in the recycling.
  • No not rare but seem very popular!

In my experience, Amazon purchasors don't read the description - I've had a couple of cases where I've pointed out shortcomings or differences, but still had queries.

I'm not sure how a paperback with the front cover missing could ever be called good (or why the cover would be missing) though.

The US publishers pull out the front cover to indiciate that the book has been returned and should not be sold. There is actually a name for this type of book but I can't remember what it is.

Nowadays the US publishers put a hole through the book to indicate the same.

If the DJ (cover) is missing you must say so clearly. You could say "GOOD but missing DJ". Even if the DJ is present you must certainly state if the price has been clipped out, or other faults such as a ragged edge, etc.

You're right they certainly don't read the description!

Apart from the cover missing they are all good copies, though I did not realise Amazon had a book catergory section otherwise I would have listed it as acceptable.

And I have no idea why the covers are missing these are old books which were given to me!

I did! (see above posts) They were all listed as GOOD and in the comments quite clearly it says BOOK COVER IS MISSING. After I had a couple of people email me about the missing covers it became clear no-one bothered reading the sellers comments so I now email the buyer before I send the book to make sure they are aware.

though the sellers seem very rude in replying to my emails especially the last person, I could just send them the books and say well tough you should have read what you were buying!

See post 7 - Acceptable must have a cover.

Be careful with Amazon, if people think ebay can be fierce then they might be shocked at how quickly Amazon can react when a seller is reported for listing incorrectly.
