McAfee anti spam - help.

The Security Suite has just finished downloading but I didn't uninstall the Security Suite first.
Just had a quick look at the forum and interestingly the problems reported were on a dell laptop which mine is also.

You only need to uninstall just before you re-install.

No need to uninstall before you download.

What I should have said is that I have just installed it without un-insalling first. It's telling me to re-start my computer but I haven't done that yet.

Personally I'd download the removal tool, uninstall it and start clean.

You may need to reboot now though, to let it finish what it's doing.

Hi. Just thought I'd give you an update. I followed your instructions above and now have a clean install of McAfee. The problem I had has not happened since.
It has also solved another annoying problem that I had. Using this site as an example, when I clicked the thanks button it would make the page go back to the top. Now when I click the thanks button the page stays in the same place.
So I just wanted to thank you for all your help.:T
