  • That's not right.

Out of interest, when does your subscription expire?

  • Do you have an account registered at the McAfee website?

I've never registered one myself so I don't think so.
  • To be honest, I'd say to uninstall and re-install the whole security centre if you really want to keep it.
There's many on here who would say to ditch McAfee totally and use some of the free alternatives.
The choice is up to you.

You could try creating an account on the McAfee website, but I don't know how or if it would link to your current Security Suite.

Thank you very much for your help and time.
I'm not sure if I can uninstall and re-install it as I dont have the original copy as it was already installed on the laptop when I bought it.
I'll try creating an account on the McAfee website and see what happens.
    Thanks again.
  • If the account you set up manages to link to the subscription, you can download the Security Suite once you're in.

I've had a look through the McAfee support forums and this seems to bring up some of the issues that you're having. Look at post #6 particularly.

I had set up an account and forgotton about it. I am at the moment downloading the Security Suite.
I'll check the forum once this has downloaded as I don't want to do too much at one time incase it closes all my pages whilst its downloading.
    Thanks again.
  • Remember to fully uninstall the Security Suite first.

The McAfee removal tool is best for this. Download and run this when you're ready.
