Give them back their money/buy drinks for the table with it/put it as a drinks tab. To be honest with you, I wouldn't be surprised if a number of those people would respond "nah, that's alright! You organised the meal, you keep the fiver for your troubles". You got a fiver off your own meal!

I would let everyone know that there meal was now £5 cheaper and asked them whether they wanted the money back or wanted to put it towards drinks.;)
  • I would have told everyone about the voucher before we went out and I would expect that that meant we all paid a fiver less each. I am quite shocked how many people wouldn't! I think that is quite sneaky...

I would offer to give the £5 back, or offer to put it towards the drinks. I would not keep it.
  • Id bet they would love extra booze for that fivver..

Could even raffle the cash away, and the winner buys drinks..
    Only Linux make is possible!
  • I would definitely tell about the voucher and ask if people wanted the money refunded or, since they'd already paid out, be prepared to donate to charity! They'd be no worse off and the charity would benefit. :T (BTW - I'm teetotal and am on a Charity Fund Raising Committee :D)

theres no way I would keep quiet about it! I'd be pretty proud I found the voucher in the first place lol and excited to tell them about it! I'd prob say - look I have this voucher and we'll get £5 off each isnt that great?! and then I'd suggest we used it as a drinks tab if everyone was happy or would they prefer to have the money now.
    Simple.

I'd do the same, knowing my friends that would be the perfect solution and it would all be spent on drink.
  • Id give the fiver back and bask in the glory of being a hero ! Its certainly not worth the guilt and the possible retribution if someone found out at a later date
    :hello:
