Well our lovely PinkLadyMel, not only stayed out of the bottom two this month on the Scrapbook Apprentice but romped home to claim victory in the top spot of the votes :T:T Whoop!
Voting has now begun for March, and the new designs are up and ready to go! It is absolutely vital that we vote for Mel, as those sneaky judges on Scrapbook Apprentice sprung a double elimination on the candidates for the month of February and so TWO people out of the bottom three were eliminated
Anyway, this month looks like a really tough challenge, and from what I can see, they were sent some difficult things out in the post to make this months challenge. But...as always the lovely Mel's work is super duper!
So basically, VOTE MELANIE MARSHALL! HERE
:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A

Huge congratulations PLM, we knew you'd get through as your work is sooooo fantastic :T :T :T
I had a rubbish night's sleep as DS2 now has a cold (as well as a fractured bone ) and kept me awake with his coughing, moaning, sniffing, crying... Poor boy. Been to Tesco and stocked up on vapour rub and olbas oil to try and help his breathing tonight.
DS1 has done something horrible to the nail on one of his big toes and it looks a bit nasty so taking him to see the nurse at the doctors after school for some advice. Been told this morning that one of DS1's best friends at school has had head lice so whilst in Tesco have also purchased some lice killing potion and a nit comb, god that stuff is soooo expensive  So once back from the docs, I will trawl through his head with the very fetching red plastic comb and see if I can find any little blighters on his head.
Thank you so much for all the lovely comments on my badly comstructed exploding box. Jammy, the papers and most of the bits stuck on are by Basic Grey.
Rusty - sorry neither of your two are back to normal, bet they are much better after some more rest and a good night's sleep tonight.
Sarah - I am very jealous of your new laptop, just make sure you don't spill coffee on the keyboard
Only 3 sleeps till OH is back from Dubai and he isn't going into the office on Friday :T He thinks he is going to relax and catch up on sleep. Ah Ha, I don't think so . I think he is going to be taking DS1 to school, take me and DS2 out for some lunch, help with the kiddies...whatever I can think of, he is going to be doing as payback for leaving me for 2 weeks. Am I a cruel woman, yep:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Hi :hello:
I hope all the poorly kiddies are feeling better soon, looks like there is an epidemic going round the thrifty gifty girls clan, don't pass it on to me please
I was up early again today, was supposed to be going to the doctors but then I thought argh doctors and monday mornings do not go well, i'd be there for hours!! So i'll go tomorrow instead. I've got a hospital appointment this afternoon about my back so hopefully they can help me get it better
Mel - Well done on winning :j You really deserved it and you deserve to win again this month, you make really pretty things, I love them! I have voted for you
Jammy - aww you sound rushed off your feet! I hope your still making time for Lost
I've kind of given up on the "photoshop art" website for now...haven't got enough stuff to put on there yet. But my cousin has just started her own beauty therapist company so I am going to offer to do her one.
Right I better go and have a something to eat before this hospital appointment because no doubt i'll be there hours
Have a good day ladies:heart: Think happy & you'll be happy

Hope they can do something for your back Hayley.
Maybe your cousin could display a few pieces of your work to sell? Just a thought:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

Thanks - me too!
I'm not sure anybody would want to buy them...up close they don't look that good, edges aren't stuck down properly etc but I got some double sided tape yesterday so i'm going to use that wherever I can, that's got to be better than glue right? I am going to make as many as I can with the stuff I got from the magazine, i'm not so good with the fiddly bits or cutting things straight but practice makes perfect eh? Then I can start making some using my own imagination...that should be interesting :rotfl: I'm not sure i'll ever sell any but I like making them and I will give them to people on their birthdays:heart: Think happy & you'll be happy

BLIMEY - you lot can TALK. :rotfl:
I couldn't possibly remember all the posts from the last 6 pages, but hi to everyone
All the piccies of the cards, boxes etc. look beautiful - what a talented bunch.
PLM - you look gorgeous in the piccie with your OH - if you've got it flaunt it.
You'll have to count me out of the McDonalds challenge, I can barely manage a Happy Meal.
My vote has gone in for PLM for March, well done Mel.
Hope all the thrifty littlies get better soon.0 -

bikerchick: enjoy your HOT date!! (just jealous really! 19 more days till OH comes home...)
rainmac: In Scotland we can register children for direct care through pharmacist, you get calpol, brufen etc, headlice treatment free if you take child in with you. I don't know if you have a similar scheme in England........save you some money. Head lice.......bleurgh!
jamtart: no I don't live in a hotel! and I don't really have 100 bathrooms........only 3, but I always fell I am cleaning them.......a bit like the ironing, perpetual! and whilst I get my kids to help out with lots of chores, loo cleaning isn't one of them (yet!!)
had a busy day at work, need to pick grumpy son up from band practise at 4pm and dd1 has missed bus, school phoned ,so told them to send her over to Band practise too!
I have a parent council meeting tonight at 7pm so will have to drag kids with me for that.
Birthday tomorrow for dd2, 9 going on 19! so in between all to'ings and fro'ings need to make a pavlova tonight and some butterfly cakes or something simple!! Grandparents are coming over at 4.30pm tomorrow.
Anyway ,must dash, catch you all later, Mx0
