Happy Birthday! Sylphraven sorry this is a bit late in day hope you had a good day. I'm a taurean too and typical of the sign.
Furry - sorry I have to report failure on the central heating challenge - I managed on Monday by sitting in the front room with the fire on & a blanket! but last night I couldn't stand it any longer & we put the heating on.
Rusty - Glad today has been a bit better for you re pain still think you need to go back to GP.
Rainmac - Glad your Mums radiotherapy has finished - hope her recovery continues apace. The flowers are lovely bet your Mum loved them.0 -

On a thrifty note I am sure most of you prob get Martin's email but just in case anyone has missed it there is a family railcard promotion on whereby you can get one for free then purchase one for 50% off!! I have just applied for one and thought it might be of interest to someone here.

How are YOU feeling missus?
In agony still, but have took some painkillers so just waiting for them to kick in a bit. OH has gone out today so I can have a relatively easy stay in the house day! Although have housework to do.
I am going to see this week out, then phone and demand appointment with my own doctor, but if he says the same as the others then I will kill him
How are you?
I ordered card candy last night :TRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
[QUOTE=sylphraven;
Get a megaphone Mhagster, cant have you not being able to yell at the kids, lol, hope your throat improves.
It's not that I actually go about screaming at my children ALL the time but having a loud voice is handy for hollering upstairs when their dinner is ready or to get Grumpy Son to empty dishwasher.....I answered the phone at work on Monday and my manager thought I was a man!!!!
Wild and windy here today again, the weather has been appalling this week....bring back the sunshine!
have a good day everyone!

Happy 40th Birthday Orchid!!!Hope you have lots of fun & all you want.
Mhags, we bang on the banister when we want ds1's attention when he's upstairs, even ds2 has picked this up, at the tender age of 1 he'd bash it to get his big brother down stairs to play, lol.
Hope the painkillers kick in nicely Rusty, dont do too much today.
If anyones got a Past Times near them its worth taking a look at their sale for pressies. They sell some beautiful Jewelry, ornaments, books, memorabilia etc. OH got me a 1940's style Household Organiser yesterday because I like the dividers, lol, comments on them such as "Both of us cant look good at the same time, its me or the house", I've picked a Gargoyle plaque up that OH said he liked yesterday to put up for him for his brithday, half price, I'm hoping the sale lasts for a couple of weeks longer so I can pick up 1 or 2 a week while they are at 1/2 price.
I'm hoping to have a crafty day today :T play with my new bits n bobs, after I've done the housewsorkYou cant take a step forward with both feet on the ground0 -
happy birthday orchid! life begins here!!

thanks furry. we did this last year and would do it again. I wonder if you can get the free one if you already have one? will have to try and see!
Hi Bunbun2
Even if you have already got one and its liable to end during the 3 month trial period grab it, also what I have done is print off the page with the discount code, (on the same link of Martins),
That railcard saved us a fortune.
Eg 1 adult Dawlish to Paignton was £9.00 (apr) normal rail fare
same trip 2 adults, 1 child just under £7.00
We had some free rail cheques (from one of my complaining sessions, if you ask anyone I know there say I complian for England), we had a day trip to Rhyl from home, without railcard 2 adults 1 child £49. with rail card we got it for £29.00
In all honestly we drive 90% of the time, just have 4 trips to Chester and couple down to Paighnton while on hol so even paying the £12 for those trips were in profit on 1st trip alone xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Happy Birthday Orchid,
Rusty - get on the phone to the docs if they wont give u an appointment ask for a home visit, that soon works a treat xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
