sylph - i've got an A5 purple plastic one that I got off ebay for a fiver.
I love those pics - I'm not that kind of arty - fortunately - I don't have enough spare time.
I thought angels and demons was better than the da vinci code and hope the films better - If I hadn't have read the book I would have been totally lost - if you like that kind of stuff have a look for The sign of the cross by Chris Kuzneski I really enjoyed it.
Glad you enjoyed the film scatty - probably lost a bit in the US translation - why do they have to do that :mad:Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Wouldn't have minded but I'd just taken all DD's books off it so it should have been able to cope. Is about 12 years old though so don't think it owes me anything - hopefully OH won't be able to fix it so I can drag him to get an expedit (sp?) from Ikea.
Something to make us untidy people feel better yesterday - dropped DD off at her friends yesterday and her mum was pulling her hair out - there are 5 of them in their house and they are redoing up stairs so all the contents of their bedrooms are downstairs :eek: - felt so sorry for her
Noticed this on the Ikea website, Expedit at £29 instead of £50

Does anyone here read? I joined, ok, got roped in to a book club about 8 months ago where we choose and read a book a month and then go round each other's houses and talk about it whilst eating copious amounts of nibbles and a fair bit of drink
! So far I've managed to read 2 and a half books and make 2 meetings. Crap I know but in my defence OH's work gets in the way of being able to do stuff in the evenings.
I've chosen the latest book to read and did this by scanning Amazon book reviews. I ordered the book and it arrived yesterday, it's huge, not sure I'll get it read in a month but started it last night and like it so far (about 30 pages read of 640 ). It's called Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton, anyone read it?
Hi Rainmac, I like reading and usually read loads on holiday but have only read three books this time as have been very busy plus I've spent lots of time catching up with emails/MSE/facebook!!
I go to 2 book clubs one set up by a bunch of us at school (mums) 3 years ago and another just recently set up by some other people tho, I;ve only madw this one once! also there is a book group kinda thing here on MSE that I go on fairly regularly where people talk about books or ask for recommendations. I need to go on there and update about the 3 books I've recently read hth xxx0 -

I think this might be my last parcel now as I have sunk quite low in the votes this month and expect to be voted off soon but I have really enjoyed it whilst I have been in it... Well.. when the products have been nice lol
I have emailed all my chums and asked them to vote for you and put it up on my facebook page so hopefully there will be a few more votes coming in for you!! I don't think that you'll go Mel and you really deserve to be there!!
IF ANYONE HASN'T YET VOTED FOR MEL PLEASE DO KEEP OUR TALENTED MSE FRIEND IN THE SCRAPBOOK APPRENTICE... MEL TO WIN!!

Thanks rainmac - am getting really embarrassed now.
Furry - please don't make me start looking at any more threads - I can't keep up with the 5 or so I look at now.
Am now tempted to set up a blog for my random musings and then I might be able to post my own pics
I've already voted so I'm a good padster today!Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended
