I dont have a scoring board paddington, I just use the groove in the gullotine and run up it with a bone folder, does that make any sense?
Get well soon Goochie... Sorry to hear you are feeling rubbish xx:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0 -
The crafters companion looks amazing you can make boxes and everything with it but it is about 30 pounds and I can't see myself making so many things that it is justifiable. Another one of those tools that I have to have but can live without.
I am starting to get a grip on my spending now and realising that when I spend thirty pounds on paper for cardmaking.. I could have bought them a cheapy card and kept that money for a day out with the kids. On the flip side though, crafting is my hobby and it is something where I can be myself instead of just 'mom'. Just trying to use what I have now and be more thrifty!:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0 -

Rusty you must be mad to stay up that late doing Ebay!! You should have at least been lounging on the sofa eating revels like I was LOL BTW it IS the Hootys off the radio LOL
Thanks Mel ... since you mentioned Hootys I have been wondering round singing the bloomin song! OH told me off so I managed to do it in my head then woke up this morning with it gone thank goodness ... now you have set me off again :rotfl:
Sounds like you had a good time yesterday
I have sat this morning and listed them all ... well all 13 of them but my auctions look pretty which is the main thing lol I was lounging on the sofa last night whilst doing them ... watching life on mars and eating chocky digestives
I really should put the phones on the phone site ... still haven't done it
Might go and do that now after I have nipped outside to have a dirty smoke   hey I have to have some vices, I don't drink!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
I don't fancy the crafter's companion - I wouldn't use it enough either. I need to get a grip on spending as well - think the shelves bending under the strain was a big hint :rotfl:.
Wouldn't have minded but I'd just taken all DD's books off it so it should have been able to cope. Is about 12 years old though so don't think it owes me anything - hopefully OH won't be able to fix it so I can drag him to get an expedit (sp?) from Ikea.
Something to make us untidy people feel better yesterday - dropped DD off at her friends yesterday and her mum was pulling her hair out - there are 5 of them in their house and they are redoing up stairs so all the contents of their bedrooms are downstairs :eek: - felt so sorry for herOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Everything downstairs, aghhhhhhhhh! Sounds a big job she's having done seeing its being tackled all together & not one room at a time.
Paddington, I love your work! & its obvious you've put a lot of work, time & effort into it. Do you have the wooden scoring board? as mines out by about that much as well.
I used to read, before ds2, I'd get through a book a week. I shall have to start again as I love to lose myself in a book. I got 1/2 way through eragon when I was in hospital to have ds2 & havent picked up a book since I came out  . Other things filled my time. Now he's older he'll happily spend some time entertaining himself in the lounge/back entrance way so I might curl up on the sofa with a book. Its totally baby safe & I'll be there if he needs me. Cant wait for Angels & Demons to come out at the cinema, I read it after reading Da Vinci Code & its soooooo much better, especially for a film.
I like kids club at the cinema (odeon), its usually a bit noisier than normal, but i think £3.50p for me & DS1 to get in is a bargain, & thats on the (as I heard them called yesterday) posh seats, lol. Went to see Madagascar 2 yesterday, DS1 always appreciates it as we dont go to the cinema very often, so he doesnt mind that its not a recent release.
Talking about movies, have you seen a trailer for Coraline yet PLM? Its by the same Director of Nightmare before Christmas, looks good, saw the trailer & thought of you, lol.
Heres the paintings I did the other day:to replace:
If you want to save yourself some money & work I'll send you the WTP ones at the end of March Rusty? I wont be offended if you dont want them, just dont like thinking of them going to waste, lol. Or if u want to see how I did them (or just a nosey, lol) I'm just about to put a link to my new(ish) blog on my profile. You cant take a step forward with both feet on the ground0 -
So this is where you're all hiding (I wont take it too personally), a new thread with how many pages already??? I will catch up properly eventually I hope.
I'm so jealous of those of you meeting at the NEC. I'd love to come and I'm relatively close but I don't think my credit card could take the strain of all the temptations...
And for those of you with 'lived in' houses, there are many different versions of this verse. My MIL gave me a framed copy of this one when my DS was born and when I get depressed about the state of my home and the fact that I am too embarrassed to have visitors, I read it to remind myself of my priorities:
I hope that my child, looking back on today
Will remember a mother who had time to play;
Because children grow up while you're not looking,
There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So, quiet now cobwebs, dust go to sleep.
I'm nursing my baby, and babies don't keep.
It still brings a lump to my throat...

Saw confessions of a shopoholic last night with the girls, they all saved me their coke bottles too, lol, we got a free nails inc nail varnish worth 10.50 and we had 2 for 1 orange tickets too so - was a good night, except for the slice of rocky road in starbucks before hand!!! but it was lovely. It was an alright film but not as funny as I had hoped - so makes you want to spend money on beautiful designer shoes!!! not very mse...0
