Does anyone have any advice for me on using Quidco etc as I haven't got a clue and as I am being very money conscious these days I've cut right back on spending and don't tend to buy much online these days ?

Its amazing really how much I used to waste on non essentials. I'm lucky we have quite a good income but we also have a big outgoings so we are trying our hardest not to be wasteful.

Last year I made lots of hampers and homemade gifts but really need inspiration this year:o

    Hi
Got a list of the sites to staert off with on Quidco, I'll hunt it out and put it on the thread, most prob be 2mor

Hi all, I've spent most of today at my mum and dad's with my boy monsters as OH is at work... AGAIN!!! Had dinner at theirs so no cooking - yay! Gave my mum her Mother's Day exploding box and album card and we had lots of tears and hugs. I know it's 2 weeks early but she needed a bit of cheering up and my bits seemed to help.

Scatty - I absolutely love your memory jar, what a lovely lovely thing to do, something to keep forever and add to if you want to.

Rusty - love your DD in her angel outfit, hope you're at work by now...!

Shelley - your little man looks well chuffed with his new bike, how cute!

That's all from me, off to try and make personalised wrappers for kitkats for DS1's impending Star Wars party. I will be some time...

Hope you all have a good rest of the weekend x

We had one of those mad baking days - what was meant to be a batch of scones turned into=
    Cup of tea loaf
    Cherry Scones
    Fruit Scones
Australian Crunch - they are gorgeous and nearly gone
2 x boiled fruit cakes - big one split between 2 neighbours, both widows in their 70s, love cake, the other going to Uncle and Aunt
    2 x cherry and coconut cakes - 1 split - neighbours + uncle + aunt, we kepy 2nd - lovely, nearly gone.

then dd - we ironed on her transfers from Hannah Montana set (used Asda smart price tshirts 75p each - would say buyy a size larger - small fit)

then dd decided she wanted to sew - got this set - 2 ducks in felt all cut out sew + stuff - 1st time shes sown, (kit was only £1.00 got from QS - were in emergency birthday presents -), she had so much fun she wants to do the other set tomorrow, star fish.

Me I'm absolutely shattered, but we had a free day, she really enjoyed herself and thats all that matters.

The neighbours were over the moon with the cake, as they say if they buy cake from the supermarket, by the time they get round to eating the rest it goes dry, so I do one normal size cake and cut in half.

Delievering Aunt + Uncles 2mor, bless them they took over the roll of 2nd grandparents when dd was born, and my Aunty lost her mum 2 weeks ago (she was 90), and the furneral was yesterday, just thought that by taking homemade cake down, its a were thinking of you - but knowing my Uncle the cake be gone by the end of the day. xx

mum2one - thanks loads for the Quidco list, I'm a Quidco newbie but do try and remember to use it if I'm buying something, have a grand total of £6 or something so far since signing up at the start of the year :p :T

Sounds like you had a fantastic day baking, my DS1 likes to decorate cupcakes - he makes so much mess  but has lots of fun ;). Wish I was a neighbour of yours, would love someone knocking on my door and handing over some cake - yum yum :D

Rusty, glad you made it to work, OH was working and didn't get back till midnight so while he was away I managed to book a cheapie holiday (Haven, used Quidco too :D) and ordered some more Basic Grey papers :o. We went on a Haven holiday last year using Tesco vouchers so in effect it was free but you can't use Tesco vouchers there any more so booked it on the Haven website and got a half price holiday (taking DS1 out of school for a week in June so prices are much cheaper) and will get 6% cashback from Quidco. We had a great time last year so hoping for more of the same this year :D

Have a great day everyone :T
