phewww, i've spent the last 40min on hands and knees in our bedroom and cleaned the carpet from all that fluff that the vacuum cleaner doesn't pick up  - i've got blisters

SarahSH exactly my point  - i hate it when he shouts at them (well, for no apparent reason anyways) - i happen to shout at them now and then .. when things get out of control  - and i keep telling him to stop the shouting!!!! his reasoning 'they don't listen to him otherwise ...'

Morning everyone... had a lie-in as I've got a day off (well, actually, because I overslept until about 9!):o Must try not to do that tomorrow

leiela - I have painted wooden floors too. I vacuum them, making sure that I go over the joins very carefully, and generally mop them. However, every couple of months I get down on my hands and knees and wash them with a floor cloth (scrubbing takes the paint off). Neat floor cleaner on the stubborn spots and elbow grease usually gets them clean.

toots - hope you're feeling better (((hugs))). If you've got the bug that's going round, please rest, and get someone to visit if you need anything. At least your bedroom is nice and clean & tidy, which should make you more comfortable.

GnB - re. the loonies... I don't think we'd get slated for the amount of water we use to clean (personally I use very little  )... I was thinking more along the lines of people being horrified that we needed any kind of support with our cleaning. I suspect that my less-than-spotless home would be considered unhygenic :p

Talking of which, I think I'll put off getting washed and dressed while I do some flying, and then shower before I go out for lunch... no point in showering twice ;)
  • Arrrgggg Mozzy blokes eh???? Apologies to OJ if you're around! :D But, it makes me sizzle

When I was laid up after my surgery... 4 weeks in bed, nice! I wasn't long out of hosp, when my OH came up and asked me how to cook broccoli. If I'd have been able to get up I'd have shoved that broccoli someone unpleasant!!! :D

Nicki - for your long laces try proper cobblers or sports shops. Proper laces tell you how many holes they should do for IYSWIM
and put the boots in a plastic bag with some bicarb (lots) seal it and shake it...
