Hello - had a very busy day. DD now has new ballet shoes, a new pair of school trouser and a new blouse. Been to friend's 50th Birthday 'drop in when it suits you' party and as I was there during a lull I washed up while other guest and brother restocked the buffet so that was a nice change (party not washing up). Wm x 2, yesterdays airing away and maiden restocked with fresh ironing. DD at sleepover with 2 friends  DS due back from dad's shortly...wonder if he will tell him the purchase of a new phone was unneccesary as 'lost' phone has been found and returned:rolleyes:
:bdaycake:Fernlibee
:money:Soappie on the flooring/kitchen - looks fabuluos and much cheaper than getting a man in...

I am glad too that DS is allowed to visit - is he good with Jacob or not interested?

Serena I cut the grasses back too - I use the to lay infront of the darleks to creat a matting to stop it getting too muddy. Cut back a bit of next doors budliah (sp) which was encroaching upon my Magnolia Kobus. Saw lots of lovely fat red buds of my peonia.
DS1 back from golf (missed cricket training with the other as he is so late) and is now trying on new school troussers - DS3 needs new ones too - they are growing like mad.

Evening everyone,
OH has decided that the computer, hi fi and tv need cleaning and re-wiring. This all went well until he got bored. Now everything is strewn all over the living room, its an obstacle course across the carpet, wires and dust everywhere and he is playing a computer game.Grrrrr. I know Im going to have to nag to get him to finish the job too. Im trying hard not to whine but this week I cleeeeeaned and it was tidy!
Ok, rant over, hope everyone is having a good weekend so far?0 -
pigpen you're right money shouldn't be an issue. My sisters friend is a sw - she is on another planet than some of her colleagues!! she is great has had a very tough time herself and has no qualms about doing spot visits wiht FC and removing children. Some have had extensions built and massive holidays!! Fingers crossed for GF to be more settled now. Your DS must be a lovely boy to not be phased by all of this - credit to you and DS himself0

Toots are you on facebook and are you one of my friends?
Pigpen so glad things are going well for DS1 and his GF plus babe - how is your sis getting on? Has her treatment started? The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Just typed half a post in and a child pulled my wire out, grr!!!
Dusty great to hear you managed to get out in the garden. Oh yes lucky dog but not lucky me as the walkings usually left to me, rain hail or shine. DP did do a little when he was wanting on for another dog and I refused as there is only me deals with them, didn't last long.
AnW'sMum every time I see the Mars advert I think of you
casleigh unplug it
LL sorry to hear about the infection, hope it's not causing you too much pain and the ABs kick in soon
pigpen :rotfl: sounds like you all had fun, and you could open a zoo! Discretely :rotfl: I don't think I want to know, I always used a shawl/cover, credit to her for doing it however, not many younger Mum's do! I agree with the others too, however much grief your DS1 has been at times, not a lot of young lads would take on a GF expecting someone elses babe and stick with her like he has, a credit to you (even if you don't like him sometimes) Sad but yes I'd say about 40-50% of FCs I have met do it for the money.
SarahS hope the evening out goes well
Triker, I'm in. I think a 'not spending unless necessary' confession time and a 'wasted today' confession time will help as you sound like me at the mo. I even take the dog with me to school runs because it stops me shopping (he chews straight through his lead if tied up as he panics!) but found myself trying to send DS2 inwhich didn't work.
gtx happy birthday to your DS
Quite upset at the mo as just found out an old neighbour, from where I lived with my parents, has passed away. Took his own life unfortunately, he battled with depression for what must be 18 years now after an incident with an evil student (he was a teacher) we spent a lot of time with them from being children up, realised how much when I have sat thinking about him this evening, every Christmas and Birthday at home I think they are in the memories I have. I've asked Dad to let me know when his funeral is.
Neighbour had a moan earlier about the conifers in our garden being too high so they are spoiling his and his lawn, then he was wittering on about him and another neighbour are getting their drives done and that we should ask LL to do ours. Well I know she won't be interested in spending £3k on a drive.....why is it when people have money to do something they expect everyone else to? Anyway have discussed with DP, going to call her about conifers, I've said I wouldn't be happy with his initial suggestion of removing them and replacing with a fence (I doubt LL would either) but I'll get prices on getting them shorter if LL agrees, when she eventually answers her phone, have dropped her an email asking if she'll please call me.
I've done some of my list, went OTT in one room as usual, kitchen was scrubbed and scrubbed some more. Everywhere inc where the drawers close. DSs helped which counts as time together as we talked too, DSs then came with me to walk the dog this afternoon which is about all the 'no tv/toys/games' time I could cope with for today with both of them, they're being horrid with each other today. Have spent time seperately with them. Best go strike my list and post my meal planoh and this months GC target which starts Monday as a 5 week month for us.
One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0
