I'm all gardened out!. I've done the sunny side of the garden and it looks nice and neat. Hope to do the other side during the coming week so it is all done by this time next week - then I'll start the front.

Need to pop to town in a minute (shower first I think). To get a couple of birthday gifts for my sis who is 40 tomorrow.

LL speedy recovery vibes for you hun

    Afternoon all

Dried a load of washing outside, it's a lovely day. Could do with a few more like this!

Not much housework done although I've made a sausage and tomato pie ready for tea tonight so I'll just have to put the oven on later and I made a chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream icing which is rather tasty.

We went to B&Q this morning for emulsion and gloss and we've ripped up the old carpet in the back bedroom and bundled it into a bag ready for the tip. Vacuumed like mad (sooo much dust behind those wardrobes:eek: ). DH has painted the ceiling, done some filling on the walls and is now painting the walls. The plan is to finish them today and do the gloss tomorrow. We've got furniture in our bedroom and boxes, the little bedroom is full of boxes and his trainset baseboard is on the landing. The wardrobe, which is in three parts, is grouped in the middle of the bedroom for now. The carpet man is coming on Monday afternoon to measure up and quote so I'm hoping that will come soon so we can put things back asap. When that's being fitted the baseboard will have to go in our room and the wardrobes on the landing. They're not that easy to manoeuvre so that will be fun.

You decorate one room and the whole house is a mess!

That should be it for a while now, we'll have a break before starting downstairs. All upstairs has been done in the last few months.

    I hate decorating.

Off to catch up with the thread, hope everyone's OK :)

Soappie, hope you're feeling better today. You always seem so calm and organised, you're allowed to have a meltdown every now and then!

Your dog looks lovely (your kitchen isn't bad either;)). What's her name?

    Your tiles look really good.
  • pollybear I know what you mean - its not the actual decorating it the decanting stuff backwards and forwards that makes it such a pain!
