Greenbee (are you regretting talking gas and electric to me yet) - upon closer inspection of my online bill there are two prices for my electricity and gas - primary and secondary. Don't have a clue about this??? Any ideas? xx

You're on a 'no standing charge' tariff, so rather than paying a standing charge and then one rate for the units you use, you pay for some at a higher rate, which basically covers what the standing charge would have been, and the rest at a cheaper rate.

Generally suppliers spread the higher rate units across the year so that you don't have one VERY expensive month and the rest of the year cheaper. The number of units and the difference in rater varies too. NPower have also been in trouble because their definition of a year is somewhat unusual too... If you're with them, go look at the elec & gas board for 'NPower Gas Sculpting'

Not to brag about my organisational skills BUT.. I've just bought the school uniform for NEXT September.. DS2 is needing new trousers now and littlewoods are doing 20% off all childrens clothes this weekend so I got shirts and trousers for DS2, trousers and jumoers for DD1 and hopefully, other than shoes trainers boots winter coats bags and underwear they are sorted for September now!!!

(I bought huge amounts in the sale last year at BHS so we have most stuff for the littlies already!)

Will anyone be needing grey girly trousers age 3-4 this September? I have a bag full I've just wrestled from the cupboard if anyone is interested?? The 2 littlies are now in age 5 stuff (at 4 and 6!!)
